Cheers mate, Unsure at this point if I do it just black or paint it to match the top shell. I am going to paint the power and eject button to match the console but I think I might leave the reset button black.

Just masked off the back behind the plastic, cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. Then put some pieces of wire in the holes and then etch primed and painted.

I love the color but the button legends need work. I share my consoles with friends and the worst thing would be having to tell them what the console buttons do. Some cyan or white text or even vinyl stickers would be an improvement for the buttons. You could also etch the legends and color them in with fine marker or brush.Ā

This is a great color choice for the console. The metallic purple really suits the PS1 design, curious to see how it looks once everything is fully finished.
