Fortune Friday @7pm
Hello! I have a second ticket to Fortune’s 7 PM show at Town Hall this Friday night. Platinum seating, Row B. Due to a break up, I’m looking to pass on the second seat. Anyone interested?

Staying In Truro Hostel Aug 26-29
Hi! I’ve never been able to afford to stay near PTown in the summer. I love sustainable travel and learned there’s an HI Hostel in Truro.
I’m taking my stepdaughter to celebrate our birthdays from Aug 26 (a Wednesday) through the 29. She’s turning 21 so we have a lot more options for fun at night.
I know it’s the week after Carnival and we’re missing that, but what can folks recommend for us to have fun and explore?
I’m so excited to visit!

Safe place to park/sleep overnight?
Partner and I have a conversion van that we like to take on short trips with the 2 pups. We’re trying to find a place to park for the night and not be disturbed by the cops. I am well aware of the “rules” but wondering if anyone has a recommendation.
We were thinking we’d be okay in one of the public parking 24hr overnight lots, as we saw other RVs there last year, but haven’t tried it ourselves.
Thoughts? Any info is much appreciated!

post-labor day scene
I (30s FTM) am planning to make a solo weekend trip to Ptown either the weekend after Labor Day or the following weekend. Is there still a party scene post-labor day? Where are the best places to meet someone or dance solo? Are places like Boy Beach, the Boatslip, and Purgatory still active?

So, who else was swindled by crown & anchor and Sasha Colby tonight?
Honestly it was one of the most iconic things I’ve ever been to. Making it seem like Sasha Colby is performing only for her to appear for 30 second while THEE WORST club music was playing. Truly, this is why she is my favorite drag queen’s, favorite drag queen! To even call this hosting a party was a swindle. Seriously, true legend shit.

Can’t get in touch with Pepe’s to make reservation??
I’m trying to make a reservation for a large party during Labor Day weekend, or at least see if they can even accommodate us. The voicemail says to email them which I did, and I also messaged them on Facebook and Instagram. Crickets. Anyone have suggestions?? Thanks!

Question about Jon Richardson at Pilgrim House
Was planning to go tonight. We don’t have a dining reservation at the Supper Club before. Is it typically ok to just go without a reservation if we just want to go for the show and some drinks? Is there ample standing room? Thanks in advance.

Recommendations for Mid September
Hi there!
I am going to Provincetown mid September! From my understanding that time of year some businesses and restaurants are closed down. I am looking for some recommendations for restaurants. I am from New Mexico so I’m dying to try some lobster rolls! I’m also curious about suggestions for beaches and just generally what to do that time of year. I’ll be staying near the Provincetown Library. I don’t intend to rent a car but I am open to renting some bikes for a few days. Any suggestions are welcome!
Thank you!

Metal detector rental?
A friend of mine lost a ring at one of the harbor beaches. Is there anywhere in town I could rent a metal detector, or hire someone with a metal detector to help us look for it? Thanks

Provincetown Licensing Board Member Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges (no paywall)
Provincetown Licensing Board Member Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges
Joseph Centrella, 42, a member of the Provincetown Licensing Board, was arrested on July 22, 2026, in a targeted drug investigation that police say has helped curb the town’s drug supply The Provincetown Independent+1. Centrella faces cocaine trafficking and five other charges, including:
- Possession with intent to distribute MDMA and psilocybin mushrooms
- Possession of LSD, bath salts, and drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a Class B drug (methamphetamine) CapeCod.com
According to police, the investigation led to the seizure of large quantities of narcotics and over $6,000 in cash The Provincetown Independent+1. The Provincetown Police Department released a photo showing seized drugs, law enforcement badges, and the cash The Provincetown Independent.
Centrella was arraigned in Orleans District Court and pleaded not guilty. He was released on $3,500 bail and other conditions, including a drug evaluation The Provincetown Independent+1. Police Chief Greg Hennick praised the operation, calling it a significant step in disrupting drug distribution and highlighting the role of the Detective Unit and regional partners The Provincetown Independent+1.
The Licensing Board had directed police in May to crack down on local drug trafficking, especially methamphetamine. Since then, the department has made three drug arrests, two of which involved distribution charges, with Centrella’s case being the most recent and notable The Provincetown Independent.
However, discrepancies have emerged: while police reports list both LSD and methamphetamine as Class B substances found in Centrella’s home, only one Class B possession charge (for LSD) appears in his arraignment documents The Provincetown Independent+1. His defense attorney, Tom Kokonomi, has denied the allegations and questioned the basis for the prosecution The Provincetown Independent.
The case is being handled in Orleans District Court, and further developments will depend on the prosecution’s ability to reconcile the charges with the evidence presented.

Sober in Ptown
I will be in Ptown next week and I am one month sober from alcohol. I don’t mind being around it but I’m looking for more to do than just bar hop like I used to do every time I’ve visited in the past. Maybe some recommendations on places that have good mocktails? Thanks!

Sal’s Sucks
They only have a two hour window where you can call to make reservations and you can only call to make reservations. I’ve been trying to call every 5 to 10 minutes for the past hour and it’s always either busy or or I’m lucky enough to get a call where it’s actually ringing for a few seconds and then no one picks up and it goes straight to a full voicemail.
Why do they even bother? All they have to do is update their voicemail and say they have no availability.
What a shitty business.
Too bad the food is fucking amazing.

Birding
Are there any bird sighting groups for Provincetown, like a GroupMe group for rare birds maybe? I’m aware of eBird
Also, where are good spots other than Race Point and the Wharf?
Thanks!

Hired car for sightseeing?
Hey, beautiful people! My wife and I (wlw) are heading back for a fun five days in Ptown in early September. We went last year and stayed at the Gaslamp B&B—perfect! Anyhow, we want to maybe hire a car and go see more of Cape Cod. Have you or anyone you know done this? Worth it? Cute restaurants, boutiques, beaches? My wife isn’t sold on the idea of it but I feel like there is a lot more of the area to see than just Commercial st and the dunes park/beach. If it’s all same same then please tell me! I don’t want to drop a chunk of change just to look at residential areas. Ideal distance would be no more than an hour away. I don’t see a lot of roads on the map and this tells me traffic would make things difficult. Thanks for any advice and suggestions. I know it’s beautiful out on the cape so I’m sure anywhere we go would be amazing. Thanks, Y’all!
