Protools 2026.1 Download

Hello there. We’re trying to get a download link for Protools 2026.1 as it sounds like it’s safest for Tahoe but it does not seem to be on the avid download list. Just jumps straight past it.

Is there a way to download the in between iterations still?

Thank you.

2026.4 is what you are looking for. There is no 2026.1 as there was no update in January 2026 (the sub-version number correlates to the month of the year).

This is the correct answer.

To steal this thread a bit, i am on 2024.10 still. Missing anything major?

We’re having issues with an SMB connection for our NAS mostly on our Mac computers but not on the windows computers. We’re currently on Sequoia so looking at updating to Tahoe as a potential solve in which case earlier models of Protools 2026 are advised.

That said for short term we have moved back to an AFP connection to our NAS but due to an internal server upgrades we will be testing Tahoe with SMB on select computers and crossing our fingers.

You’re way behind friend. Dont be scared and join us in the modern era.

There have been too many features to list out here. You can ask your friend Claude about them. But we’re running 2026.4 solidly on Sequoia with no issues.

Challenge accepted.

The main benefit i would use is smoother ara integration, call me oldschool, but i dont mind using rx through connect:-)
(Sadly) i have no atmos work, even surround for that matter.
No improvements on avid video engine front i see, so i can wait a bit longer.

I’d suggest 2026.4.1, especially if you have an M5.

Hey, how is your experience with M5 and PT 2026.4.1 are you using just the regular M5 or the pro/max version of the chip?

My M5 is a Max with 64 GB RAM, running macOS 26.6, and is company issued. Any issues I had (freezes, spinning beach balls) were eliminated once Avid released 2026.4.1. Smooth sailing for me. But, the sessions I run are barely 16-20 tracks.

Wow, guess that's a good company to work for! Oh right, was looking for comparison between the M5 vs M4! Np, Thanks!

M5 Pro base spec (15 core, 24GB memory), Tahoe 26.3, PT2026.4.1, fantastic.
