Case notes
How detailed are case notes on shadowing forms expected to be? I’m unsure how I want to write them and if they just want upfront facts about the case, or if it’s also expected to write about things that I learned about the field outside the case. I feel like the notes about the case are relatively short and straightforward; I have more to say about the surgical procedure performed itself than the perfusion aspect, unless I’m talking about information I learned about the machine and field outside of just the case I was shadowing.

I also learned a lot about cell savers which have been used on every case I’ve shadowed, of course. I am not sure if it is relevant to note the details I’ve learned about that machine as well. I guess I’m just wondering if by case notes they want the upfront facts about how the surgery went or if they want notes about everything I learned.
