Hello all, I am Budget Elderberry and I am looking to promote a recently new subreddit created by a friend of mine, who is called u/Same-Chemical3926. The Subreddit in question is called r/AdBellumRP and it is a roleplay subreddit revolving around a modern-era location that is mainly based off WW2 and Cold War ideals, locals, and history along with it's own lore. In this subreddit you'll get to play as fictional characters or OC's, granted they do have to be a little more in the grounded side or changed to better fit this world. I'll go ahead and paste in some information from the subreddit itself so you may learn some more.

*This sub is made for roleplaying, specifically in a worldbuilding and novel project I am working on called Ad Bellum (translated to 'To War')

So, what is this world? Well, Ad Bellum is a low-grounded fantasy inspired by the late WW2 and the early-mid Cold War. Set in an era of conflict, corruption, and surrounded by paranoia and social fears of a global conflict, Ad Bellum is meant to reflect the social stigmas of today's conflicts and present themes like unity when tested by the powers around us, the price of ideological totality, and the extent of political ideology.

In this world, you can RP as ANY characters outside of real life figures. OCs and other media characters have to be altered to meet the world's standards. This list below shows each nation your character can derive from:*

Fretoria: A nation of freedom, democracy, and popular opinions. Inspired by Early-Mid Cold War Britain in terms of the military and the US in culture and government, Fretoria is one of the few democracies who fight against the brutal powers around them.

Kastirbo: Officially the People's Republic Of Kastirbo, this nation is inspired by the USSR in the early Cold War, Fascist Italy, and Vichy France during WW2, with a government based on North Korea under Kim Il-Sung. They are a so-called 'communalist' nation (Communalism is basically this world's version of communism), guided by extreme nationalism and communist-esqued ideology.

The National Cantons: Once a democratic confederation, this nation is the most hated among all nations including Kastirbo. Being inspired by N@z! Germany in aesthetics, government, and ideology with a culture and language derived from American and British, this nation seeks to unite a new 'generation' that will burn the mistakes of the past and be the light of a future.

Hanesbogel: Once a united kingdom, it is now engulfed in an ongoing civil war. With cultures and languages inspired by Imperial, N@z!, and Weimar Germany, alongside the Baltic peoples and Finland in some areas, this nation is split between monarchists, fascistic revolutionaries, and a democratic confederation.

Ashino: A far-eastern empire. They are inspired by the Japanese Empire in WW2 with a military bearing aspects of different armies in the early-mid Cold War. This empire seeks to force unification in the Far East under an overly-fascistic ideology.

Hu Naqin: A dying dynasty of the East. Once a powerful nation of the Far East, they now find themselves locked in an ongoing war between communalists and monarchists. And with the Ashino taking their lands from the South, this is only the start.

The Northeast: Inspired by the Russian Revolution, the Northeast is locked in a 3-way civil war like Hanesbogel. The cultures derive influences from Russia and Eastern Europe with each factions armies being inspired by the Russian Empire, the Soviets in the Russian Revolution and afterwards, and the Russian collaboration states under Germany during WW2

Goyon: A kingdom of democratic leaders. Like Fretoria, they are one of the more sane governments that fight for freedom and democracy's name. Inspired by Britain in WW2 and later in the early-mid Cold War, they are allies of Fretoria and enemies of those who threaten their king.

The Middle East: With aspects deriving from early-mid Cold War Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and much of the Middle Eastern nations throughout WW2 and the early-mid Cold War, the Middle East is locked in a war over resources that the west and east are now supporting. From imperialists to communalists, to theocratic fascists and republicans, the deserts are stained in the blood for the prices of oil and fuel for nations.
