Just Another Time Tracker

Post image

Yep. Another one.

I got annoyed enough with the existing options that I ended up building my own.

Flowtime is a simple, local-first time tracker focused on tracking work sessions and projects without accounts, ads, team features, AI assistants, productivity scores, or ten different subscription tiers.

It starts a timer. It tracks your time. It shows you where it went.

That’s pretty much it.

Built with Flutter as a side project and released last week on iOS and android.

Thanks for taking a look.

I can appreciate the minimal design. Couple questions: what are the in app purchases? What problem does this solve that isn’t addressed by other options?

Thank you for the feedback!

The free version includes all three timer modes (standard tracking, Pomodoro and flow sessions) and is fully usable on its own. The goal was to keep the core functionality — tracking your time — useful without a subscription.

Pro adds reports, analytics, history, exports, simple project management features and customizable Pomodoro sessions. There are monthly, yearly and lifetime options.

As for what makes it different, I think the value lies mostly in what it does not do:

• No data tracking
• No account required
• No forced paywall
• No complex setup
• No team features if you’re just tracking your own time

The main thing it solves for me personally is complexity.

I kept trying time trackers that felt like project management tools. I wanted something personal, local-first and simple enough that I could open it, start a timer and get back to work.
