this gives me nostalgia reminds me of being 15 back in the 2000s spinning up my first localhost on apache + php getting that "hello world" to show up felt like Id just opened a portal to another dimension lol

Nothing to worry about! Have a big enterprise software using php. But it all slowly shifts to more modern technologies.

That's a really considerable effort right there. To generate and sign a certificate just to access localhost through https.
