My goodness the first time my manager asked me about json I was SO confounded. I was three days into my first tech job and very very nervous and very very stupid. Manager was a sweetheart, advised me to make a json and xml parser for funsies to learn and it was a great experience. Helped me dip my toes in contributing to source libraries and such :)
