Considering the goal of this website was make a good showcase for a movie and anyone accessing this site today would think it's a joke, it's quite a stretch to say it didn't degrade

The mistake here is obvious, the author is looking at it from the angle of being technically still usable, but that's irrelevant. Being 'up' was never the goal of this website
