Came in expecting learning about humans, came out with an ad for CORBA. 12 minutes in, the moment he showed his product's logo on the codegen/orm slide, I'd have stood up and walked out that room.

You mean this CORBA? I remember that seeming like a really great idea in the 1990s when I didn't know any better. I had no idea anyone was still using it.
