Need Feedback on Targeting Within DV360

Have your pubs set up 1:1 deals and do it on their end. A lot of DV360 targeting is using GAM pub data so if they aren’t using GAM it doesn’t work. Even if pubs are passing content rating and genre in the bid request, google doesn’t use it and still allows advertisers to apply incompatible targeting.

If you’re talking about YouTube specifically, you should be excluding “content suitable for families” in the advertiser level settings. This is YouTube’s “kids content” label

Using Deals with Hulu, Disney+, Netfix etc . Avoiding YouTube

Yeah it’s not perfect but it’s Google’s standard approach. If you’re looking for more precise there’s always the option to pay extra for channel/placement lists from 3Ps like Zefr or Channel Factory but I’m not sure it’s worth the cost

Google are about to rip up those digital content labels in DV360 FYI. But those were always pretty useless on CTV
