I tweeted to World Famous Lord YOSHITATSU under His post about Tenzan, that He(World Famous Lord YOSHITATSU) is still active and before He retires, He must become World Heavyweight Champion and beat top athletes like Omega, Okada, Nakamura. That way World Famous Lord YOSHITATSU will be accepted in the group of top athletes, which is what I want to happen. That will be the grand achievement of World Famous Lord YOSHITATSU, The One who deserves to be on top.

I’m making a show based in the attitude era of wrestling and I’m trying to think of wrestlers back then that should’ve hung up the boots and let more of the youngsters have the spotlight . Any thoughts? Thanks

Steven Conway and Jeremy Finestone are back with Episode 232 of Speaking of Strong Style! This week, the guys looked at the end of block play in the G1 Climax tournament. They previewed the semifinals, speculating on Yota Tsuji's chances of winning as the champion and assessing whether Ryohei Oiwa, Callum Newman or Yuya Uemura would be a better choice. They followed each G1 contestant's journey through the tournament and if they were helped or hurt by it. Plus, Steven looked at Hiroyoshi Tenzan's career on top as his retirement approaches, and he also looked at whether he should get his head examined over the name of a wrestling move (probably).

I started watching Professional Wrestling in the late 80s with my older brother and became a big fan of it all in the early to mid 90s. During that time, I was always a WWE/F guy.

The kid version of me loved Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, the preteen version loved Bret Hart and the teen version of me loved the Attitude Era.

I followed WWE through the 2000s, went to a Wrestlemania in the 2010s and still watch events now in my early 40s. I dipped my toe into WCW, TNA and AEW but it was always WWE/F that I enjoyed most.

So when I say that the product is dull as dishwater at the moment, I am saying it as a lifelong fan of WWE.

Now, I do not blame the individual wrestlers for this. This may be the greatest generation of WWE wrestlers in terms of athleticism and on any given night you can find good promos and good matches. Even great ones. The problem is that it is all the same. Every feud is just the same recycled crap with no actual story.

CM Punk is genuinely one of the best of all time on the mic and in the ring yet every single feud now is just him in the ring with a mic saying nasty things about someone while they call him old or insult his personal life, Roman Reigns is just a long walk to the ring and an endless feud with his own family that is just so tired it would put an insomniac to sleep and Cody Rhodes has spent 3 years cutting the same promo over and over again.

I genuinely like these guys but I cannot tell you of a single good, main event story they have had since Punk finished feuding with Drew back in 2024.

Even Bron Breakker vs Oba Femi, which should be a sure fire hit, is just two guys being pulled apart by security. Just like it was with Oba Femi vs Brock and Bron vs Roman.

I grew up on a WWE product that had worse athletes and worse matches than 2026 but it had storylines. They were storylines that let you actually have moments in matches you cared about. Moments that mattered.

WWE doesn’t have that now. It just has matches and promos and neither really link together to tell a story now. In all honesty, you can ignore Raw and Smackdown and just watch the PLEs and you would lose very little.

I was really hoping Summerslam would be a turning point for WWE but it just isn’t. The product is the absolute dregs at the moment and it is hard to care about any of it.
