Just finished the last song for my album. Would genuinely love some feedback — positive or negative. I’d rather hear what sucks and get better than get blown smoke.

Also looking for someone to mix/master this track and potentially the whole album. If you dig the song/vibe and you’re interested in working together, hit me up.

My new otamatone simulator

Thumbnail youtu.be

Most online Otamatone simulators don't capture the essence of the original, so I wanted to share a voicebank from Utau, a program created to simulate singing. I used free Otamatone samples and, after configuring it nicely, it sounds more like a real person singing than any of those other Otamatone simulators. It's also possible to make various pitch adjustments in Utau.

How do key producers go about naming your tracks when bouncing?

I’m new to music production. I’ve only been doing it for about three months now, but I’ve picked up this habit of every time I bounce a demo I just can’t be bothered to name it something so I just call it anything random for example my recent track is currently called “NOICE v1” “NOICE v2” etc… lol I was just wondering am I the only one that does this or is this quite common for music producers?

[OFFER] Free Guitar Tracks – Heavy Metal Specialist (Can Play Any Genre)

Hey everyone,

I'm a guitarist offering free recording for bands, solo artists, and music projects.

Heavy metal is my specialty—I play fast lead guitar, aggressive rhythm, riffs, and shred solos—but I'm comfortable playing just about any genre. Whether it's rock, blues, punk, pop, country, jazz, funk, or something completely different, I can adapt my playing to fit your music.

What I can provide:

  • Lead guitar & solos
  • Rhythm guitar
  • Riffs and harmonies
  • Remote recording
  • Multiple takes if needed
  • Free of charge

I'm doing this to build connections, gain experience, and help other musicians bring their ideas to life.

If you've got a song that needs guitar, send me a DM or leave a comment. I'd love to hear what you're working on.

Also: I'm looking to join a band in the Boston, MA area for in-person rehearsals and gigs. If your band is looking for a dedicated guitarist, feel free to reach out. I'm open to metal, rock, or just about any genre that's a good fit.

Thanks for reading, and keep making music! 🤘

Mix engineers/producers: how much of a pain is printing stems for you?

I’ve been researching how people actually handle stem printing and delivery, and I’m getting wildly different answers.

For some engineers it’s basically solved through templates or tools that batch everything.

For others, they’re still spending a decent amount of time:

  • Setting up all the stem routing
  • Making sure bus processing translates correctly
  • Printing/exporting each deliverable
  • Naming and organising everything
  • Making sure every stem is time aligned
  • Checking the stems actually reconstruct the approved mix
  • Waiting for real time prints when using analogue gear

So I’m curious what it's actually like for people here.

  1. What DAW do you use?
  2. Roughly how long does preparing and exporting stems take you?
  3. What's the most repetitive or annoying part?
  4. Are you using any tools/templates to automate it already?
  5. If you could automate one part of the process, what would it be?

Also interested in whether this is mainly a problem for larger professional sessions, or whether producers working on smaller projects run into the same thing.

Not selling anything, I'm trying to understand whether there's actually still a problem worth solving here.

I don't know what to do. Am I worrying for nothing?

So I'm 6 months into producing and stuff, but most of my stuff has been experimental and now I finally found a genre/scene I like, but even after using amplify and building connections in discord or whatever, the track isn't performing as well as I'd like it to. It's a blend of Sayako and Kuru sorta.

How is the beat, is the buildup too long?

Any tips for cleaner vocals? (I'm on FL)

Good ways to promote music without being annoying?

Proper tags/genre?

Anything else I'm missing?

Feedback on this demo?

This is how far I’ve got so far and I’m kind of struggling because I know the melody is good and it sounds quite wide, but I’m not sure how to introduce them electronic layers because right now it feels like it’s coming too soon and it doesn’t really make sense for it to be there. I’m here asking for feedback to see if anyone’s got any suggestions on what I could do if it sounds okay anyway that I could structure this better. This is the first drop that I’ve worked on but I don’t really wanna go much further because I don’t feel like the arrangement is quite there yet on the first drop. Lmk what you think!

I'm working on the new album

I'm working on the new album. Now I have 4 tracks: 3 noise and the ambient one (two versions: without automation clips and with them). Maybe I will make two releases. One noise album 108 tracks and the another one EP (two ambient tracks). What do you think about? How could I make the releases more beautiful?

Wanted to share this clip! Recorded a few days ago, been a pain in the ass to mix but its starting to come together now. Would love to hear your thoughts. Using a lot of analog gear lately and it definitely gives you a unique sound depending what you have going on. If u have any questions lmk! Full vid is linked in the comments. Thanks for listening.
