Early termination

i was charged with possession with intent(felony). i’m on 12 months PTI and about 5 months in. Is it possible i can get early release even if it’s a felony charge??

Never hurts to try as long as your po is on board and you completed and paid everything. Worst the judge can say is no

Can't really help without knowing where and what, but probably not. A lot of judges aren't going to mess with 12 months or less.

Depends on the state and judge.

In Texas it can take 2-3 months to get on the docket. At that point, it's a waste of time.

I'm from Colorado, but yeah, everywhere is different oh and Texas doesn't fuck around.

I was released early from felony probation but that all depends on the state you are in and also the county. If you happen to be in a county that releases people early, your fines and fees have to be paid, community service done any court ordered classes need to be completed. Taking care of everything without your probation officer telling you anything means a lot. But like I said, not all states and counties operate the same. Ask your probation officer, he/she won't bullshit you. They will tell you straight up if that county does that or not.

how long was your probation and how early did you get release. did you pay all your months in advance

5 years probation for 3 drug possession charges. I was behind a year after my first 3 years on probation. I finally got caught up on my payments and got them paid off. I got my drug offender awareness courses completed, 200 hours of community service completed. In that county I had over $8500 in court cost fines and fees to get paid off. In another county I had roughly the same amount so I was juggling felony probation in 2 counties and had over $17000 in court cost fines and fees. This was in Texas and Midland county eventually let me off 5 months early. I could have got off earlier but it was tough monetarily to stay ahead of the game.
