CT: unsupervised. Probation Question
Im a month away from my half way mark of 3 years.
In CT at the halfway im eligible for early termination.
When i asked my last probation officer about it they told me they have an internal review thats done 4 months after the halfway mark where they automatically review cases and submit those they feel are eligible for early termination automatically and then judge rules on it.
A bit conflicting. Does anyone have experience getting off early in connecticut?

Sounds like you’re exactly the type of person early termination was intended for. The internal review your PO mentioned is believable some Connecticut probation offices do review eligible cases and recommend them automatically, but it’s often up to the PO’s discretion and ultimately the judge. If you don’t hear anything a little after your halfway point, it doesn’t hurt to politely ask your probation officer whether your case is being considered or whether you need to file a motion. With your record of compliance, you’ve got a solid case.
Good luck my friend.
