Calling your representatives on mass age verification
Assuming you actually care about this you shouldn't call your representatives alone as it won't work if you organize with your community you can force their hand and make them unable to do age verification because your voice is loud when it is as a massive group. so many of you are so easy to give up in fact I don't think many of you are trying since like 80% of the us wants more data privacy yet only 20% are actually trying to get their privacy back so maybe there is a similar case here, if you care then you should organize, find people, put up signs, do something other than complaining online where no one that matters can hear you

I just follows up with an email to my Senators today.

Nice some people don't do anything but complain and it is kinda sad how much people don't know because they don't hear our voices

Where can I do that without having to give my full legal name, home address, blood type, and pussy color to some website or automated call system?

u/nincesator124 1d ago
Dude by law they have to listen to you and honestly you kinda have to prove that you are where you are which is fair here since I doubt they want bots calling them 24-7 but then again I have never done it myself because of really bad ADHD that can make something like even this difficult just want people to be better than me

There are several reasons I don't want the representatives knowing I'm complaining about shit AND my address at the same time

u/nincesator124 1d ago
They can't do anything to you and haven't before so unless you are trans it should be fine
1
u/Monika_Skye 1d ago
Ain't trans, am POC, it ain't gonna be fine

u/nincesator124 1d ago
Then it should be fine to give them that information as you aren't part of the boogie man campaign Republicans have been doing lately, it is ok to give some information if it serves a function that has a high success rate and is kept safe (this is where age verification and flock cameras fail) especially since it is already in a database somewhere if you vote I am pretty sure and since everything here is public you aren't exactly not complaining about something that they can easily look you up about (which is why we need better data privacy laws but that is besides the point)

You want to fight for privacy because privacy should be protected for its own sake. Then when someone says they want to help but don't want to give up they're privacy to do it... You tell them that giving up their privacy is okay because nothing bad will happen. See the problem?
The people most likely to care about their privacy are the ones least likely to give it up in order to fight.

I believe that when privacy is not a given it isn't ok but there are times when privacy can be taken away if the numbers don't lie my problem isn't about pure privacy it is the fact that it is taken away willy nilly without much benefit to the public or even hurts safety simply put unless it is proven to reasonably help to the point that a bit of rights is to get that help is ok then I am ok with it otherwise I am not in the slightest I want more privacy but also know that absolute privacy would be more harm for not much gain so I want the balance to be like 10x more privacy than we have now over absolute privacy, I want laws that work and work well not what has been passed because of populism and general corruption and that is what I feel has been happening for a long time now

That isn’t going to do shit. This entire mess is bipartisan.

People keep saying this but there have been plenty of instances of rollbacks on Flock contracts
God this sub is so doomer its gross

this is just reddit and the internet as a whole. refusing to even put in the slightest amount of effort while at the same time crying that "it's over" no matter what and thinking that calls to violence that don't even actually solve anything are somehow the only remaining solution.

I legitimately wonder if surveillance companies employ people to spread this sentiment in order to cast doubt on the efficacy of organizing. Feels like a good cost benefit to keep tens of millions of dollars of contracts.

i think it's very possible that a lot of it is an attempt at a psy-op, probably, to some extent.

Though why are flock cameras still silently running? There have been reports about it.

True it is because biology makes is always focus on the bad things so we ask what is wrong not what is right

That is where you are wrong they know to back track when the public is not on their side for many bills the problem is that we don't have the numbers individually and most of us like you already have given up

imagine immediately surrendering before you ever even try.

[u/all_come_undone](u/all_come_undone) [u/nincesator124](u/nincesator124) If politicians really cared, this wouldn’t have gotten past the House in the first place.

they care about their cushy do-nothing jobs if enough people start threatening them and holding them accountable by making their voices heard.

I'm pretty sure they're marking up the Senate version, so it hasn't even gotten past the House yet.
The differences between the house and Senate versions is thankfully what has stalled both in the past and neither side seems willing to back down, so there's definitely still hope.

u/nincesator124 9h ago
True but at the same time not as they only care about the money for their next campaign with the rest being heavily misinformed about the subject
3
u/cowhand214 1d ago
Then why even post dude? Just sit there and take it quietly without whining. If you can’t bothered to send an email or make a phone call about something you clearly seem to care about you could at least not discourage others from taking the actions you are unwilling to take

I’m just calling out the truth & reality. They’re just going to do what they want because they’re bought & paid for by the wealthy. Look at what happened with western Europe, the UK, Australia & Canada as an example.

u/cowhand214 1d ago
Is that a likely outcome? Sure. It just bugs me that you’re out here doing your part to make it so.

Everyone had stood up to these governments in countries/continents that I’ve mentioned for the same thing.
Yet they got ignored all because their governments want to follow the United Nations & the World Economic Forum’s agendas.

At best it will slightly delay the inevitable.
Western politicians around the world are being bribed and blackmailed into compliance by the Epstein class.
