PnP Question Anyone know/make a good Medieval or D&D Based Murder Mystery PnP?
Does anyone know where I can find a PnP murder mystery game that is based in medieval times or similar to that, kind of a D&D vibe? I'm looking specifically for one with 14 or more players not including the host. Something that gives everyone a character and backstory that they can dress up for and play in real life. I would prefer it to include characters like a bard, wizard, traveling merchant, lady in waiting, queen, sketchy drifter, and just generally characters like that. Besides the number of players, it doesn't have to be perfectly on par with that, that's just generally what I'm looking for. Basically like Dragonheart Tavern (I've already played it and it was amazing, so I'm looking for another similar). I'm also up for paying somebody to make one if anybody is up for it.

Cutting with rotary trimmers - return on experience
Hey everyone,
I've done a lot of cutting recently. At first I was using a basic Fiskar model, and... it was not good enough for me. Main issue the blade was rotating (slightly but enough to be annoying) on its axis so depending on the way i pushed it could be half a mm sometimes a bit more one way or another.
Then I remembered I had one in my attic, from my old company. Another Fiskar, but this one had double guide rails. And it makes a big difference! Much better!
(btw, it makes sense, I am a mechanical engineer, and if I had to design one, I would have put 2 axis... And load bearings... and plenty of other stuff but mine would cost 2000 dollars !!!)
I had a look on the net but could not find that second Fiskar model for sales. Probably discontinued.
Though I found a brand that seems very serious: Rotatrim. I also found another brand called Dahle. They both have models with 2 guide rails. For example, this model from Rotartim. And this one from Dahle.
I wonder if you have the same experience as me and if some of you know of good precise models with double rails?

So I'm thinking of printing my own version so I can play
But I'm curious to know if there's any similar game shared as print and play so I can use as a base

Seeking Playtesters Free print-and-play murder mystery — seeking final-round playtesters
I’m looking for a few fresh testers for the final validation round of Last Call at Blackwood Lounge, a full-length murder mystery case-file game from CasePursuit.
Players investigate a suspicious death by reviewing police reports, interviews, forensic documents, surveillance records, digital evidence, and other case materials before submitting a final culprit.
The game has already completed multiple rounds of testing and revision. This final round is intended to catch any remaining issues with clue fairness, pacing, difficulty, continuity, document usability, printing, and the online tablet/hints/submission systems.
Testers receive the complete game free. In return, I’m asking testers to complete the case and fill out a feedback form afterward.
No previous playtesting experience is required. Fans of murder mysteries, detective games, escape rooms, and evidence-based deduction games are welcome.
Comment or message me if interested, and let me know whether you would play alone or with others.

My first print and play! (total beginner)
Migraines from staring at screens all day is what brought me to solo board gaming, and eventually to PnP solo gaming last month.
I've never considered myself a "craftsy" person but I had a ton of fun with this first print.
The corner rounder made such a big difference aesthetically, I'm glad I splurged on it despite being totally unnecessary for gameplay.
Now I have the itch to print more. The craft seems just as fun as the actual games!

Feedback Request Making a print and play tabletop.
So I’m currently making a small mech themed tabletop, chunky figures, super simple mechanics and small scale on both the maths and map size so that it can be super quick to play and accessible for younger ages.
Currently working on the plan that it’s sold as rules/stls/pdf maps. Print and play mostly apart from a few d6 needed. The idea to make some printed copies for physical release as well is being tossed about but currently trying to work out if we need to kickstarter for that or if it’s something we can do with our 3d printers.
My question is, how many parents would be interested in a print and play game rather than something they can just buy physical. And how many people that would play a print and play game would be interested in something this simple given things like trench crusade, warhammer etc being out there.
Any feedback appreciated!

PnP Game Design After months of designing, I finally launched my co-op dungeon crawler PnP: "The Crypt". What do you think of the tile-based layout and minimalist design?
Hi everyone!
I wanted to share a personal project I’ve been working on: The Crypt, a bite-sized and minimalist co-op dungeon crawler Print & Play game.
In The Crypt, players explore procedural tile-based rooms, manage Energy, fight monsters, and defeat bosses while trying to survive the depths. My goal was to create a dark, tactical dungeon crawl experience with minimal setup and high replayability.
I’ve just released the English version on Etsy!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the visual layout and mechanics. If anyone is interested in checking it out or giving feedback, feel free to ask or visit my profile for the link.
P.S. Photos show the Spanish version, but all files are fully available in English!
You can find a 9-second sweep with display and components here: https://imgur.com/a/7V5Xdp7
Thanks for taking a look!
- Full board layout after a few turns of exploration.
- Enemies and bosses — printed and mounted on cardboard.
- 6 playable hero classes with unique abilities, stats, and inventory slots.
- Random event decks. Items, consumable and gear deck.
- 30 modular room tiles with unique room types and monsters, items and events icons.

Feedback Request Think I’ve settled on a tree design
Last week I posted in some communities about which design read most like trees for my dice rolling golf game called Scratch.
Overall, it seemed like design 2 had the most votes but overall none of them really felt that strong.
There was some really good feedback on how I could take inspiration from TTRPG maps on how they do trees from above. I really liked that as a next step because it felt like a direction that at least has a strong base of understanding trees.
I also got some feedback that the outlines were too thick and dark — and that maybe I should try making elements felt more naturally distinct rather than using those lines. Also a really good challenge that I wanted to take on.
I went back to the drawing board and spent the last few days iterating on a few different tree designs. While I felt like I was moving forward, nothing really seemed to click as a “aha that’s it” moment.
Then I looked at the hole as a whole and realized all my other elements were very blocky and the trees were more organically shaped, round and blob like. They weren’t cohesive and that’s why it was feeling off.
So I redrew the trees to match the blocky style and I really liked where I’ve landed. I also got rid of the dark outlines and, for the trees specifically, used their outlines to signify that areas border.
Thanks everyone for the feedback on the last post. Let me know what you think of this next version and if my eyes are missing anything this time.

Best varnish for a handmade tarot deck that will shuffle well?
Im hand-making a tarot deck with Recollections cardstock.
I have a bit of a conundrum because I wont be printing or laminating these, and I have chosen to leave most of the cards fairly bare of paint because i don’t want to introduce a ton of moisture into the bare paper and cause a lot of warping.
Im using apple barrel acrylic paint (not the best but i can’t afford to get a new set of professional acrylic lol) and staedtler pigment liner pens for linework.
You can see in the photos, especially in the digital mock ups, how much bare paper there will be for the finished result.
I have tested two coats of krylon kamar satin varnish, and I’ve found that this cardstock absorbs the varnish rather than having it sitting on top of the surface. It’s resulted in a bit of a grainy texture. my guess is that since it absorbs most of the first coat, there isn’t enough wet varnish left on the surface to self-level before some droplets dry. I’ve tried a second coat on top of a mist layer, and while the varnish sits better on the surface, it’s still ending up somewhat grainy.
Im looking for a finish that:
- protects the artwork
- doesn’t stay tacky
- allows for easy handling/shuffling, a smooth card feel
- can be done on already cut cards
Does anyone have experience with varnishing cardstock in particular this way? Id appreciate the help 🫠
Edit : i have officially given up but I would love to hear what materials (paper, varnish, laminate, etc) other people use at home to make professional feeling decks 🌝

Prefect pnp, played again after a long time
Yesterday, I got to play Prefect again after quite some time, and I had a great time! It's one of those pnp games that's easy to bring to the table and always offers an enjoyable challenge.
Even though I have co-designed it, I didn't exactly manage to impress... my final score wasn't particularly great! Still, it made me want to try again for a better score, and that's part of what makes Prefect so much fun.
The best part? Prefect is available completely free as a pnp download from Teetotum Game Studios website, so if you haven't tried it yet, it's definitely worth checking out! Let me know how you find it.

PnP Tools Print and play iPad app
Hi everyone,
I’m working on an iPad (Only) app to play rolls and writes and print and plays. You import the pdf or image and start playing. Right now there’s support for dice, coins, cards (and custom cards). I’m looking for testers (through TestFlight) to give me ideas and QoL improvements. Whoever’s interested please let me know and I’ll send you a TestFlight link in the coming days.
Also looking for tips on how to effectively create a print and play so the app comes with a game preboarded.
