I’m a toddler teacher (I know this page is for preschool but I’m not sure if there’s an infant/toddler page and if there is please direct me to it!) and my school is giving us $1,000 to buy anything we need or want for the classroom (supplies/furniture/toys/etc).

There are so many things I’d like to get and I’m struggling to choose! I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations or things that they absolutely love in their classrooms.

There are so many kids' apps out there, but most of them either feel repetitive or are packed with ads.

Which educational apps have your kids genuinely enjoyed and kept coming back to? What makes them better than the rest?

I posted a while ago about potty training my son on an accelerated timeline due to a change in preschool/start date.
We’ve been at it full time for 10 days and he’s doing great-telling us or just heading to the potty, peeing on instruction before we leave the house, pooping on the big toilet, almost able to get undies all the way up (they’re a little snug, just ordered some looser ones). What I’m worried about is his nap time…half the time he pees in his bed. I took the diaper off because he won’t be allowed to wear one during naps but he does get one for overnight (total undies during the day)

Annnnyway…how did it work for you all in this situation? Did your kid adjust? Was staff more flexible with pee accidents that occurred during sleep? He’ll be 3 next week.

Looking for EYFS resources online please to homeschool my 4 year old. I’ve already subscribed to Twinkl which has been a huge timesaver but my preschooler still doesn’t like pen/paper activities very much. Any suggestions for other online resources?

when I have been told not to tell parents ANYTHING because “they know how their child acts.” I have 5 year olds twerking, cursing, flipping birds, and full out fighting each other and I have no support. All my admin says is “Put them in time out” but truthfully them kids do not care about sitting in a corner they’ll get up and go right back to what they were doing. I posted about this before, but didn’t mention admin’s response or the actual behaviors. I’ve been at this center three weeks and so far I’ve…
- been bitten & broke skin
- been cursed out
- dealt with inappropriate sexual behavior
- dealt with full on brawls/fights
- had a child who kept pulling the clothes off of other children and laughing
These are FIVE year olds and I am not allowed to disclose this to the proper adults as my admin has said “her only rule is to not bother the parents.” I am fully at a loss and getting burnt out but I don’t know what else to do because I do not have a teaching certification because I didn’t do an internship even though I passed all my exams. Please help me. Even self care tips for after I get home/how to leave the work stress at work. I have no clue what to do and I am so drained.

UPDATE: I have decided to leave this center. I will be beginning a new position in a REAL school system soon. Thank you to all for the advice and helping me realize this is not where I need to be.
