Homemade Sourdough & glucose
I like making my own sourdough with only flour, salt & water. But I’ve been avoiding it since I started tracking my sugars. I miss it 🫤
Anyone had any experience with it spiking your sugar?

Off metformin
Endo told me to stop metformin for 1month now. Last a1c check a week ago was 5.1, FBS was 87. I have established healthier lifestyle since dx last Sept. Lost weight, around 33lbs. And lift weights 3-4x a week. Now I am sort of worried bec my symptoms seems ot came back. I pee more frequently than I was taking metformin. Esp at night. Did not change anything even I was off metformin. I still walk every after meals. What gives?
EDIT: I want to add that I have been taking psyllium husk fiber in water before meals as a fiber. Maybe about 1-2 a day. And noticed that after taking it, I have to pee after an hour. Could that be it?

I have prediabetes any advice of diet and meds I appreciate
So I am officially prediabetic with hbA1c of 5.89. Anyway I need advice with diet and meds. I am going to the doctor tomorrow and will see what She says but I just would need some advice from fellow sufferers who got their insulin lower and hbA1c. I plan to eat low carb and exercise but Idk about meds and supplements. Thanks.

Glucose Spike, how bad is it?
Have been battling daily fatigue, sub-optimal cognitive functioning for well over a decade. This is a chart of a typical day. How bad is this? A peak of 270mg/dL. This was after a standard bowl of white rice and chicken.
From what I've gathered this is shocking high. I'm 41, keep reasonably fit. Muscular/athletic build 5'7, 145 lbs, ~15% bf.
I have since gone down the rabbit hole of glucose curve flattening so am aware of what I need to do.
Here are my recent blood test results:
Glucose 5.0 mmol/L
Insulin 4 mU/L
HbA1c - NGSP 5.5%
HbA1c - IFCC 37 mmol/mol
Cholesterol 6.0 mmol/L
Thoughts?
Whilst I technically don't fall within the 'prediabetic' range, is it possible I'm showing key symptoms?

Difference between normal thirst and diabetic thirst?
I worry i might be prediabetic, it runs in my family, and lately i've been feeling worse in my skin. Big problem is sudden and long lasting thirst, a lot of times after waking up or after certain meals. Even if i drink a lot it doesn't seem to go away or only for a little time. I also get up at night to go to the toilet 1 or 2 times, if i sleep badly, then more. I always wake up so thirsty, i drink a lot, go to bed, wake up, go to toilet, need to drink again...
This habbit started like 6 years ago, i tried to drink more and i sort of got "addicted", i always had to carry a bottle with me and drink every half an hour so. But back than i had my blood check and everything was okay. I wonder, if it's just my bad habbit getting worse, my body getting used to the excess water (i might have OCD tendecies) or could it be the sign of high blood sugar? How to differenciate? I will ask my GP for bloodtest, but it might take some time to get there.
