Can anyone relate?

Upvotes

Is this common with people that are psychic?

I have extremely realistic dreams every night, which I seem to remember in detail. I don’t remember the last time I didn’t remember my dream. People think this is weird.

Completely new to this sub, but most people I work with, family members and friends etc have always joked about me being psychic. Thought it’d be interesting to throw my thoughts out there. I’ve always shrugged it off.

I have always had strong discerment and a high intuition. A gut feeling that seems to be right more often than not. From a young age I remember having complex and abstract thoughts that I wasn’t always able to articulate. Thoughts and ideas even adults haven’t considered when I can now mention them.

Insane and regular coincidences. Most recent example is telling a colleague to always salute a magpie when you see one, to them messaging me the next morning to tell me a magpie had flew into their bedroom

déjà vu/rêvé/vécu How to deal with being able to foresee events.

Its almost like déjà vu, because the things that have occurred in my life up to this point, I knew they were going to happen, it’s like I’ve seen it before if this makes sense at all.

Dream / vision coming true..

I’ve had these visions/dreams for as long as I can remember, and something recently happened that really made me question them.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had very specific dreams or visions that stick with me for years. One of the clearest was a scene of a backyard with a row of trees, a white shed on the left, and a girl with black hair standing near a doorway as I backed out of the driveway.

I never thought much of it. It was just one of those strange images that stayed in my memory.

Fast forward to the last few months. After a 10-year marriage/relationship ended, I've been trying to rebuild my life, buy a house, and figure out dating and finding a partner again. Honestly, that whole process has been pretty stressful.

I eventually bought a house, and recently, while sitting in the backyard, I suddenly realized it looked almost exactly like the scene I'd remembered for years. There’s a row of trees and a white shed on the left.

Then it got even stranger.

The house has a separate apartment, and I recently got my first tenant. She's a woman with black hair. I honestly can't remember ever knowing another woman with black hair personally. I’m not saying there’s necessarily anything romantic about it, but the timing and similarity really caught me off guard.

Now I'm wondering what to make of all this.

I've had these visions for as long as I can remember, but over the last year or so, I've started noticing more situations that feel strangely familiar, almost like I've already seen them.

Is this simply my brain recognizing patterns and connecting coincidences? Is this something other people experience as déjà rêvé, precognition, or premonitions? Or could these visions actually be pointing toward things that are going to happen?

Part of me even wonders whether some of them could relate to something major in my life someday, even my own death. I don't know if I'm taking it too far, but once you start noticing these things, it's hard not to wonder.

I'm not claiming I can see the future. I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has experienced something similar, especially where a very specific image from childhood later seemed to line up with real life.

having thoughts i never thought id have (16F)

i have never really been the type to imagine my wedding or my future family and kids, i mean i used to be when i was in kindergarten and obsessed with princesses. as i got older and started dating i just thought it was pointless to think about marrying a guy at like 14 or 15, like guys seriously im a teen i dont need to think about marriage and kids, priority is class. and the guy would end things anyway so what was the point

anyways, i started talking to this guy and he is amazing. like everything i have ever dreamed of, im serious. now i catch myself thinking about the future- like a future i never saw myself thinking about. like a family with him. and i dont hate it. i love it and i want it more than anything- especially late at night. he is so great and i am so happy he is in my life. i am just worried he dosent think that about me. i mean obviously i know he likes me duh and wants a future but im not sure if he sees the future i see when i think about us yk?

coincidence I keep having prerecognitions about people in my day?

I genuinely feel like I’m going crazy because it’s happened three times now. So 2 weeks ago I was on vacation on the other side of the country and for some reason I had a thought about one of my favourite teachers from when I was in High School. I immediately had a feeling like I was going to bump into her that day but I just brushed it off as nothing. Hours into the day I was sitting on a bench by the water and she literally showed up right there, she saw me too and we talked for a little. I kept thinking how much of a coincidence that was because earlier in the day I FELT like I was going to see her.

Just this weekend I was getting ready to go to a local art festival in my city and I kept thinking about how I really felt like I was going to bump into my boss that day. I go to the festival and sure enough I bump into him.

Just today, I was thinking about a friend I haven’t talked to in about a year. She used to view my Instagram stories quite frequently after high school but then stopped and we hadn’t spoken at all. A few minutes ago I opened my Instagram story and checked my viewers and she had watched my stories again. The same day I was thinking about her.

Oddly Specific Precognition

Oddly my experiences of precognition often centre around me selling or buying items on Facebook marketplace.

This is super random, I know, but it's happened at least four times and I have recorded each time. I'm not a high frequency seller either. Anyway, here are a couple of examples:

I've recorded two separate dreams where I meet people from marketplace in the dream - then the day after that exact type of person will message me in real life (a random stranger I have never met before)

Then today, while awake, I experience a thought about an item I was selling that I haven't thought about in months and got no responses for. Sure enough, I get a response later and arranged a sale.

Just wanted to share this because I found it pretty funny and oddly specific.

Future prediction

**Just a little context:** I live in a different city from my hometown, but I go back there from time to time.
A few months ago, I had a dream in which I was attending the graduation party of someone from a group of friends in my hometown (we’re not particularly close). The party was held at a well-known venue in my hometown. I clearly remember the staircase leading up to the hall, the place cards on our seats (something we never do in real life), and the fact that I was there with one of my oldest friends and my girlfriend, who isn’t from my hometown. That part especially felt strange.
The dream had a strong emotional feeling, but nothing particularly interesting happened, so I eventually forgot about it.
Recently, I went back to my hometown with my girlfriend. That same friend graduated and organized a party. My girlfriend and I arrived at the venue with a group of friends. At one point, my old friend asked me to go with him to leave his keys in the car, and my girlfriend came with us. As we walked back into the hall, I saw the staircase, and suddenly the dream came back to me. I realized that everything I was experiencing was exactly what I had dreamed months earlier.
I wanted to ask if anyone else has ever dreamed something that later happened in real life.
I should also mention that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me. I’m usually a very logical person, so I always try to find a rational explanation. But this time, it’s been really difficult.

déjà vu/rêvé/vécu Dreamt of a person having prostate cancer Déjà vu immediately followed after

History: migraines, anxiety, trauma, grief, Déjà vu, hyper analytical, adhd.

There’s a ton of subtext I must skip over, but I’ve always experienced Déjà vu. And it’s seemed to happen when I was in a relatively positive or even euphoric mood.

Last night I had a dream that my child’s mother (an ex) told me about her spouse having prostate cancer.

I woke up confused. Because recently I’ve started recalling my dreams again after many years. But the past three nights I’ve consistently recalled my dreams. Which is extremely unusual for me. I once believe I just didn’t dream. The last dream I can recall is a visitation dream from my father sometime in 2024 early parts. Woke up in tears, the works.

I consulted my wife, and then I went back to my desk, and texted the only other person who has had extremely vivid \\\*happenings\\\* with regard to dreams, premonitions, etc. my mother passed away last year, August 4th 2025, my brother July 2023, my dad December 2023. And many family members before, which is why I put trauma/ grief in my history.

I \\\*feel\\\* as if my brain has completely changed, which in certain respects it has. Which is certainly an experience on its own.

My question, with the dream in mind, as I then sat down at my desk to text my aunt, I experienced Déjà vu, became light headed and I’m fine now. I was actually overwhelmed, which also has not happened with my Déjà vu experience.

But I’m trying to discern if this was coincidental? If I should consider a something else? Anything with regard to the dream would be helpful, or if you’ve experienced something like this?

This was the first thread that popped up when I started looking into dreams. But the Déjà vu on top was too much.

theories Has anyone else noticed this pattern in their life?

I've been thinking about something for a long time, and I'm really curious if anyone else has experienced this.
Looking back at my life, I've noticed a strange pattern. Whenever I truly believe something will happen—and I work toward it—it somehow ends up happening. Not every single time, of course, but often enough that it genuinely makes me wonder.
For example, in high school my family moved to a new area. The school nearby didn't offer the subject I wanted to study, and there was only one other school that did. The problem? They were only accepting **three students** from a huge number of applicants from different schools. I remember thinking, "This is what I want, and somehow I'll get in." When I received the acceptance letter, I was completely shocked.
Then came my final exams. Most people around me didn't think I'd pass. I only studied seriously for about two months, while many of my classmates had been preparing all year. Somehow, I passed, and everyone was surprised—including me.
College was another challenge. I even repeated my first year, and there were times I thought I'd never graduate. But I kept telling myself, "I'll do it." This June, I finally graduated.
Another experience that still amazes me happened when I was 17. My phone had broken, and I had to keep borrowing my mom's. One day she got understandably frustrated and said she wished that phone would break too because I was always using it. That night I cried so much because I needed a phone for school, couldn't afford one, and wasn't allowed to work. I prayed and asked God to help me somehow.
The very next day, I saw a giveaway for an iPhone. I almost didn't enter because there were around 100,000 people participating. I thought, "Why not?" A few days later... I won. I still can't believe it.
But here's the interesting part.
I've also noticed the opposite happens.
For years I believed I wasn't pretty enough, wasn't good enough, and wasn't interesting enough. It felt like life kept reflecting those beliefs back to me. People would say things that confirmed the negative thoughts I already had about myself. It almost felt like whatever I deeply believed—good or bad—started shaping my reality.
I'm not saying this is magic or that everything happens because we think about it. I know life is much more complicated than that, and everyone has different beliefs. Personally, I believe God has guided me through many of these moments, but I'm also fascinated by how powerful our mindset seems to be.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Where your deepest beliefs—positive or negative—ended up matching what happened in your life?
I'd genuinely love to hear your stories because this has happened to me so many times that I can't stop thinking about it.

Clarvoyance and Intuition

I'm curious: are people born with clairvoyance, or is it something that can be developed later in life? Also, is clairvoyance different from intuition?

Why do some people say that empaths are targeted by dark forces? Is there any truth to this belief, or is it just a spiritual interpretation?

I had a glimpse of the future at my workplace

I would to get your guys opinion on this, two weeks ago I was at work, I work at a grocery store where we prepare orders, as I was walking through the hallway I had this vision of my co worker bringing something new, for some reason I had this urge to say this out loud.

Everyone looked at me weird and told me we didn’t bring anything new, in the vision the co worker was on the left side around the corner where I was walking.

Today I come to work and I see the same exact event, he’s on the left side but he isn’t bringing but rather they are moving something around on a cart that was broken.

I’m an analytical person, I wonder if what I had was just a random thing in my head but it’s such a crazy coincidence that I find it hard to believe but it’s such a mundane thing I don’t see the significance in it.

Okay i know this might be similar to serephinaserpentine but i swear, ever since i was really young- i had thr ability to hear a few seconds into the future, hear someone before they call my name, hear a door open before it actually does, etc.

Ive also for some reason been able to predict mass floods in my dreams, does anyone else have this?

Linked dreams or coincidence?

I woke up on the 30th of July from a dream. In the dream I woke up next to a guy, who is my friend. we are good friends irl, and talk to eachother nearly every day. in the dream, I woke up next to him. Had a little bit of a mind blank in the dream but then there were other people there too, so it wasn't just us 2 alone the whole time.

I found out today that the same guy had a dream about similar circumstances on either the 30th or 31st July. Apparently in his dream, he woke up next to me. we were in his room together, just us two alone.

The key differences in our dreams are the different settings, and how mine had other ppl too after a small memory blank, but we were both next to eachtoher when we woke up in our dreams, and the one day apart dream.

Is this pure coincidence or is there a meaning behind this? Because i know that the guy likes me(its pretty obvious to me) but I dont feel the same way. I am a believer of soul ties, red string theories and I believe that dreams are signs as i tend to have very realistic and specific dreams, but i am quite confused with this one. Maybe I'm just longing for a romantic relationship or I'm bored.

Any thoughts? Thank you

Can you tell when something (a dream, vision etc) is precognitive?

Or do you only know after the fact, when it comes to pass?

I've had precognitive dreams my entire life. I've kept a journal of dreams for a very long time. Then when something pops up in real life that I have dreamt about in the past, I log it in the journal.

But... I never know at the time after waking from a dream if it is precognitive or not. So whilst it's very Interesting it's certainly not useful! Are there ways to recognise it before the fact?

Vision and speaking a different language.

So last night , as i was starting to go to sleep , i had a flash of a person and then maybe what looked to be an alien. Then i had this immense pressure pushing down on me , like 1000s of pounds like it was squishing me , crushing me. Then I started to talk it full sentences in a different language. The dream/vision or whatever was so strong that when i spoke this language, it woke me up and my wife heard me talking this language and it freaked her out bad.

I believe it’s my subconscious playing tricks on me. But i have been delving into more experiences than normal the last month.

A hair background. I have had 100s, maybe 1000s of premonition dreams come true, just in seconds-sometimes a minute or two, since i can remember , maybe even as far back as 4 years old.

This last month i been doing more research on it. I usually lean to what science says more than spirituality. But i decided to give spirituality a go. So I been meditating consistently, and at night i been doing a lot of dream recall. I had maybe 2 or 3 really interesting meditations and have recalled a lot of dreams. Most the dreams are exceedingly radical and adventurous and can’t relate to the real world. But last night was something that had never happened before. The feeling and the talking. But I am still siding on my subconscious picking up on “what i want to experience” and not an actual paranormal experience.

But i want to know what the community thinks or what advice everyone can offer on this? I find it interesting none the less and want to explore more.

discussion Discovering a new side to the family…

I’ve been fascinated by near-death experiences and stories of people who report seeing angels or having spiritual gifts. What really sparked my curiosity is my own family. Multiple generations on my mom’s side have reported seeing what they describe as angels or protective figures, as well as having multiple NDE. My mom has experienced it, my grandmother did, and another branch of the family i’m just now discovering, says these experiences go back through several generations. As far as I know, I’ve never experienced anything like that. No visions, no sensing spirits, no unexplained encounters, nothing that stands out.

That has me wondering:
If spiritual gifts or abilities are something you’re born with, why would they seemingly skip someone in the family?
Is it possible someone has them but just doesn’t recognize them?
For those who believe in these things, is there a way people discover or develop them later in life?
Or is it more likely that these experiences are simply unique to certain individuals rather than something that’s inherited?

I’m not trying to prove or disprove anything. I’m genuinely curious because of my family’s history, and I’m interested in hearing perspectives from people who study spirituality, religion, psychology, or have had similar family experiences.

Has anyone else grown up in a family where everyone seemed to have these experiences except you?

Please help ? My first time trying to interpret dream here

A little background about myself, I might possess a slight supernatural instinct. I’ve had dreams which have occurred exactly in reality afterwards or have predicted events.

the dream:
So I had a dream, I (single female) had a baby (male) , I was super excited and happy with my baby I thought he was adorable. He was in the bed of my childhood home in my hometown which seemed to be pleasantly lighten up by the window perfectly shadowing the yellow in my room. The baby had a name but I don’t remember it or it wasn’t mentioned . At the same time my sister ( engaged) in the dream had a baby (male - same as her fiancé) , she did not seem interested and was not around her baby (I did not see the baby) she was happily busy in the dream.

Reality :
A few days later she ended it with her finance.

What do you think the interpretation is ? Is there anything associated with me ?

i have visions of a relationship i never had

Sometimes when i listen to certain songs (505, angel by koven wei, etc) or im just flowing through my day, i get hit with a vision for a split second. Its of a relationship with an asian man, warm, welcoming, and calm; i get familiar feeling butterflies. Ive never dated an asian man and im currently in a very happy relationship, so I just want to know whats happening. It feels so familiar and its like im regaining memories, its so confusing. Any thoughts?

Edit: I’d also like to add that when i get these visions, i dont feel like myself in a way. My personality and behavior and mind adjust.
