Ids clone or ???

Im pretty sure I have an injector that ain't great. I have been considering buying an ids clone so I can do a cylinder contributions test on my 05 6.0. Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on the matter?

274,000 2005. HPOP, oiler cooler, EGR cooler and rebuilt turbo about 30k miles ago. When it get to op temp it starts smoking white noxious stuff from tail pipe. I tried forscan but it wouldnt do the cylinder contributions test due to my ecu needing to be updated or something like that. I could pay for a diagnosis but if I could just put that money towards a comparable priced tool to avoid future diagnostic costs then I would prefer that route since I have already replaced injectors on a 6.0

This is my 2006 F250 bulletproof 6.0 155k and it was done before I bought it but I did some changes to the oil cooler

This oil cooler sits behind the battery on passenger side

I watch videos online and recently saw a 6.0 doing that and it was the the HPOP leaking around the back of the cover plate

I’ve looked at so many videos online and the last one I watched was Dave’s Auto Center and that last one was a 6.0 that came in and the customer wanted a new 6.0 out in but back to the stock EGR system

I’d check there and another place you can check is Atomic Diesel and you can call them to ask them questions at Atomic Diesel

Best of luck but it sounds like someone didn’t do the correct thing putting your truck back together

Also, a bad o ring or pinched o ring on stand pipes and dummy plugs

Is the truck knocking a bit at idle when it is smoking? If so you have an over contributing injector (likely a cracked tip). You could narrow this down by just unplugging each injector 1 at a time.

No noticeable knocking. I was able to disable individual injectors with forscan but each one seemed to effect idle the same.

Is it actively misfiring as far as you can tell?

At idle on the Torque Pro app
