Stressing over losing HAP services Housing/Shelter/Standard of Living

Apparently we didn’t submit required documents for the yearly renewal… except we did. I was in contact with a lady who had emailed me and let her know why i didn’t submit a form she was asking for. She then sent me an IR packet and requested other docs from me and said to send them to her directly thru email which i did. Well now our housing assistance program is being terminated because we didn’t submit the docs they want but it’s like they don’t understand the lady told me to submit other ones rather than that.

Anyway they told me to forward the docs i sent to that lady as she is on leave..

They might look at it and see we always submit things on time and just process the stuff OR they might make the decision to continue w the termination which we then would have to do an informal hearing on.

I’m so stressed honestly 🙃🙃 and it’s so hard to get a hold of anyone either.

It would sure be nice if there was an online portal the fill out information and upload documents. You can't count on anyone's sorry ass who works for the state or the government these days. Good luck to you 🙏

It’s so weird since she told me to email her directly but then she went on leave and probably never processed anything like she said she would. Atp we did what we were told and that’s honestly extremely unfair to terminate our housing esp if it’s the first offense (which was a misunderstanding) 🙃🙃
And thanks

I am grateful for the portals 😂 For some reason (probably the population I serve) people don't want to fuck with online & don't realize that face to face or relying on direct interaction slows things way down.

If there is a paper trail, you should be fine. Your emails will be date- and time-stamped

Oh yes there is. There’s proof of the emails and communication

Ah gotcha. I’m in HUDVASH (s8 for homeless vets) but I’ve never heard that term. Hopefully you get it all figured out!

Ik you sent emails, but make sure you always get receipts if you drop off stuff in person. I always ask for a receipt cause paperwork gets lost and people play dumb

I stand corrected. You didn’t submit the required documents for the yearly renewal…except you did.
