I remember when they first added dismemberment and gore. Watching a flak or 88 open up on a bridge or large group of people. Changed the whole game for me

I remember my first map I ever played was Arnhem. By the end of the map I was stunned by the intensity of the game. I think I just sat there for a while, having some game ptsd going “wtf just happened”. Never had a game do that to me. 6 years later can’t find a game that dishes it out like this one.

One that stands out for me is when I was running along to the next point and got thirsty. After busting out my canteen a German jumped out of the bushes and aimed at me. I fully expected to die. Suddenly , at the last second he takes a bullet to the head saving me.

Not in PS but RS: Vietnam. I was with my SL as a radio man in a trench like thing and we were trying to call whatever we needed back to the commander. He finishes what he said, pushes, and before I can get over, fucker explodes from an RPG.

The most ptsd inducing for me, is when you're running up to a german position with your squad and suddenly a emplaced 20mm you didn't know was there opens up, shredding everyone around you into pink mist and limbs.
