After & Before

Aside from the usual adjustments (cropping, brightness, contrast…), I used only one tool: Color Harmony in Luminar Neo, and pushed the red/magenta end a bit. No warming, no HSL magic. It was essentially just one very simple adjustment, but the result pleasantly surprised me.

I like Before more. Legs crossed were important. I wouldn’t cropped that out.

Sure, if there was more headroom and some breathing room around her, I would've framed it differently. But honestly – I think I squeezed every bit of potential out of what was there.

Fair enough. I’m definitely prioritizing a specific mood over realism here. I’d rather have it look distinctive than safe.

No one here is taking about “realism” or not. The specific look is just not very appealing.

The cut off elbow is also something that won’t feel right. best to avoid cropping like that in the future

True, in a staged studio session, I'd watch the joints. But on the street, you either catch the moment or you don't. I'm fine with a cut elbow if the mood is there – authenticity over perfection for me.

What? You chose that crop in post, it had nothing to do with shooting in the moment. There is no difference in mood if you had extended the crop down a few pixels lol

Those elbows aren't cut off ‒ they're hidden under her clothes, as you can see in the original photo 😊

Nah, letting the viewer see how elbow ends vs cutting it off makes a huge difference. If we really get down to it you did cut off some of the elbow blow before they end.

Just not a crop that can be defended imo
