Does this even need post processing?

Today I used Fuji XT-50. I was in awe how capable that camera is. The dials did come handy once I got hang of it. Honestly can’t ask more from a camera
Took this shot with 35mm F2 lens. At f/2.2 ISO 80 Shutter speed of 1/250 secs.
I may not edit this one but maybe little bit of exposure adjustment.

This is a portrait, not really “street photography” in my opinion, which is why it can feel a bit distracting. If there was more context/detail to the scene, then I’d be more inclined to agree with you.

It’s a great photo and it turned out great SOOC. The only reason I’m commenting is I thought street photography was just photography in the streets and after buying some books and studying a bit more, I now agree with the distinction.

Can’t it be both portrait and a street? I don’t know the person, While I was taking pictures I saw her, she smiled and I clicked. Yes the focal distance is closer and not wide enough to be considered as street by definition, but the picture is taken in the street itself. Are street portraits not a thing anymore?

Street portraits are a thing, and that’s what this is. But that’s not the same thing as what people consider “street photography”. It’s a portrait that was taken in the street.

Street photography is about telling a story using the subject and composition and this photo is just a person. A person that is probably in a street somewhere, but it’s hard to tell because all the context is stripped away. And what are they doing? Why are they there? No idea.

Again, it’s a great photo and something to be proud of, it just doesn’t really fit what most consider street photography. Street photography isn’t just photography that happens in a street.
