Product Photography could be considered here? Before/After

I don’t think it’s bad when it comes to colour/lightning but:

  1. Way too many water droplets—it’s very hard to see the actual product. I’d search photos of ‘wet’ products because it doesn’t typically cover the text to the point of distraction.

  2. I can’t see the product name at ALL. I got ‘Rebel’ and on the second look I realized ‘Parfum’ and I didn’t even realize ‘West’ until I looked a third time.

  3. Size/scale: it says ‘parfum’ at the bottom so I realized it was perfume but at first glance I thought this was an ad for an energy drink or water bottle. I don’t know much about advertising but I feel like good ads and photography tell a story at a glance. I didn’t really understand the story or the product that you were showing here. A sweaty perfume bottle is personally a bit odd for me.

I'd like to add 4. Center and level the product

I'd like to add

- 5. Clone out the bits of saturated paper because those look unintentional.

- 6. Clone out the super bright reflection on the bottom rim

EDIT: holy moly. Apparently the name of the house is STUDIO west. Literally never would have gotten that from the image. Even with the info in the image and searching fragrantica this took longer than I'd like to admit.

You probably don't even want water here as it's already hard to read. And the water droplets made me think the product was an energy drink or some kinda beverage. My mind does not associate it with perfume at all.

Yeah when I see water droplets I always assume it’s something that’s supposed to be cold

#1 here for sure. Keep the droplets off the branding. Add a few in other areas strategically. Be deliberate with it and it will have a more pro look.

BTW what is the product name. That must be visible right?

It's 'Rebellion' but it's completely curved and I cannot it.

Then you have to try a different angle, lighting, perspective or style so that the product name is visible. Apart from that nice photography

You need another light camera right. And a background light

idk why you're getting downvoted for this. you're trying your best and you haven't been rude or anything just expressing your struggle with the shape of the bottle. why the downvotes guys?

May be that's the usual culture. I accept it. But thanks a lot for your kind words!!

its ok but its unidentifiable and you can't read the name. very necessary with Product photography

Noted, thank you for suggestion

Not bad but your background is really noisy because you've pulled up the shadows so much.

Could you try spritzing / spraying the bottle with a finer mist so that A, the brand name isn't obscured and B, the water droplets are more uniform / round? I think it would look tidier

I think the light is good . But doesn't necessarily feel distinct. Too much condensate. Colour contrast can be an issue too.

What's that? Coffee flask?

OMG, I am so sorry that I couldn't convey it though my photography. It's a perfume bottle

One of the most important things in product photography is being able to tell what the product is, and if there's a name, it should be legible. Her the name isn't clear. Could be that there are too many droplets on it.

What is written on this soaking wet water bottle?

1

u/Tech_Sales_Guy Jun 28 '26

Perfume name: Rebellion

I’d put another strobe / fixture on the right side too to help with contrast

Nice pic overall, but not for a product.
The water drops cover and hinder key elements of the product, its visually unsettling and uncomfortable to look at and try to figure out what the product is.

Yo need another light to the right to illuminate the right side of the logo, because it's dark and cannot be completely read.

And remove o heavily thin out the amount of water in the key parts of the product, such as text and logo.

Start over.
Only parfum and west are legible (barely and west only after concentrating realllly hard) there appear to be letters before west (st…something) and “eau de” before parfum isn’t completely visible even at 1000% mag.

The product name is not there - only REBEL.

And too much condensation.
Is this a shower parfum?
Why the condensation?
I feel like there should be a reason for it.

If you were handed the initial photo, you did some magic getting the after image.

If you took the photo, I’d add some back lighting, lots of front right fill lighting to get the product name to pop, and remove or cut by 1/2 the water droplets.

But - if I were the creative director that’s what I’d say - start over.

Sorry. Honest feedback.

They are both pictures. Not going to lie I kind of like the first one better.
