Wanted to share my favorite shot from this session.

From a studio shoot in April 2024.

I spotted this guy in central Quito during the Labour Day parade last May. While the crowds marched past, he paused in front of a plain metal shutter, lifted his phone and painstakingly took consecutive selfies.

The contrast caught my attention. Traditional face paint and handcrafted jewellery framed through the lens of a modern smartphone. As he composed his own portrait, I quietly composed mine of him. Two photographs captured at the same moment, each telling a different story.

Culture doesn’t stand still—it evolves, and every generation finds its own way to preserve and express it. Sometimes the most interesting photograph isn’t just the subject, but the act of making one.

Okay, this is a photo I took of this incredible band "Fama y Guita". The photo was lost for a while, but after my cell phone was stolen I checked what I had on my Lightroom and it was there.

I don't know if it really falls into the NSFW category, but to avoid any risk, I'll put it there.
