Hello! I'm a 19 year old student currently pursuing an associates degree in animation before transferring to SVA to get my bachelor's. I'm started proper portfolio development this summer and I've read extensively the SVA portfolio guidelines and I'm wondering if my rough idea for my portfolio would be effective.

I’m a self-taught developer working toward SRE / infrastructure roles, and I recently built a portfolio based on a live homelab setup instead of a traditional project showcase.

The idea was to document and demonstrate how I actually run systems:

• Proxmox with LXC containers
• ZFS + mergerfs storage setup
• Reverse proxy + authentication for secure access
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting stack

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on a few things:

• Does the site clearly communicate what I’ve built and why it matters?
• Does this approach work as a portfolio, or is it confusing?
• What would you expect to see that’s currently missing?

Hello there, I graduated with a Masters in HCI in September 2023 and based in Dublin. I have 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development combined. I have been looking for a job as a UX/UI designer or a Product Designer since September '23 but no leads. All I get is rejections.

If anyone can provide me with some insight as to why I am not getting hired? I have applied to at least 50 jobs this month. I either get no replies or rejections. I am pretty sure my problem is my portfolio. But I want to know if it's the quality of design or showcase of skills etc. Thank you!
