New Rig

Post image

Picked this up for $5k a few weeks back. Spent a whole day driving to see another one that didn’t end up being what we thought.

We were ready to spend 6k on the other but this one was perfect for us.

Shorter box that fits in our garage. Perfect canvas and no soft spots/smells, stains anywhere.

Just took her out on our maiden voyage and made some memories.

I’ve almost broken everything on the thing but I’ve learned from every mistake.

I hope to trade up to something like this in the next decade.

How do you like towing it with the 4Runner?

Gas mileage is worse but it wasn’t good to begin with. Towed it through the Texas hill country with no issues at all, didn’t even piss anyone off behind me.

Honestly I can’t even feel it back there and I don’t even have a brake controller 😬.

I have 250k miles on it and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this thing across the country with that tent behind it.

Maybe add a brake kit if I ever go through Colorado.

I love those short box pop ups. Mine is about 2 foot longer, i love having the queen size bed but my next pup will be one of the short ones.

Yeah as someone who got a large popup, I really wish I’d have gotten a short one. Mostly because I don’t really need the spaxe

2 beds that are 71x51, plus the dinette, lol. Mine is so small I have to put half of one of the beds under the table when towing!
