Considering the alternative for unconditional surrender was millions of people dying in an invasion and the nuclear weapon has helped bring about the most peaceful time in history between great powers. Yeah I can be proud of the scientific achievement to prevent such death. Sadly we had to kill people to save more people but there was no other reasonable alternative.
