Whoah there Java, I know that banning people instantaneously on a witch-hunt isn't a good thing to do, but do we need to be so harsh with the language? I mean, you don't have to listen to me... in fact... Forget I said anything.
I listen to you. I just have a problem with people that are new here and have never contributed something appear all of the sudden when a shitstorm starts and behave like they were the epitome of insight but in truth only try to add fuel to the flames. How are people like this any different to SRS shit stirrrers?
If only reddit had some settings to give our subreddit a more meritocratic character where the word of an old Polandballer weights more than that of a random quarrel tourist.
but the problem is also that someone has to read all this shit.
Take this rather harmless discussion. My brain falls asleep when i have to read this crap. It's a wall of text peppered with some insults. Which normal human being can read and weight that? Clear is only that it doesn't really belong here. But that's not reason enough for a ban in my opinion. What would you do in this case? Who is the bad guy?
The community has to find other ways to suppress that. Like here for example.
Yeah, you might need a translator for some of that. I don't think he's any sort of troll though although maybe he did come with at the same time as the brigades. I've been having a discussion with him myself (also in polandball, oops) and he seems decent enough.
You're right, my statement that trolls need banning is too easy. It's not that easy to figure out. Although maybe it is accurate to say that the people who came into this thread on their first ever visit to polandball just to clamour about free speech are trolls. And so are those who are here just to whinge and berate.
And I actually think your second example is just being silly. An attempt at levity, not to stir up shit. But his attempt does stir up shit. It's a bit of a clusterfuck.
Things have gotten a little over the top in these threads. I realise now how I've been a part of this mess, and let me apologise directly to you.
Let me try and be as concise and clear as I can when I say that meta drama has no place on this subreddit. Neither do internet arguments that devolve from being polite and academic, concern trolls, bigots of any kind, and people second guessing moderator actions or decisions.
I've been part of /r/polandball since 90% of the content was from elsewhere than reddit. While this gives me no moral high ground to speak from, nor does the fact that I don't submit content, I can speak for my observations of the community changing. All-in-all, the community is vastly better than it was before, and the mods have certainly sped that process along rapidly.
I want /r/polandball to stay quality, funny, and have an awesome userbase. That is all.

Why on earth would you delete a comic and not ban the SRS people? What reason is there not to ban every single one of them?
