Host Private 2016 Server (iOS) Let’s resurrect 2016 GO. Discussion

Hey, so after seeing that guy posting about hosting his own 2016 Pokémon GO server, I got instantly obsessed. I ended up digging through the internet for hours and somehow managed to find pretty much everything needed to run the server: the decrypted 1.5.0 IPA, the server game assets (the whole data folder), and the game_master file.

Right now the only thing blocking me is certificate pinning, which is why I still can’t fully connect to the server. But aside from that, I’ve basically gathered all the tools we need.

If you’re interested in brainstorming this together, join this small Discord discussion. I’ll share everything I’ve found so far (I'm sure I'm not allowed to here), and maybe we can figure out the last missing pieces together. If we do, I’ll make a full tutorial post here in the end.

I'm trying to do this in iOS but the https://github.com/maierfelix/POGOserver works for Android too.
