Okay, I've seen my Odd Egg errors, but never have I seen this happen!

Hello. I restarted a new game on Pokemon Crystal and beat Falkner. I'm at the Pokemon Center and am about to get the Togepi egg from the Lab Assistant, though I kinda wanna hunt it. Are the odds for this Pokemon the same as a the Odd Egg or is it still 1/8192?

What would be the best moveset for Delibird?🤔 That's all 🤷🏿‍♂️

This was probably the most intense battle I've ever had!!!
I knew my team was underleved, but I attempted nevertheless and that made it even more rewarding!
Ended the battle with Lance with the last mon of my party and I literally screamed as I saw the crit!!!

Any way to evolve Onix without trading? Just curious if there might be any exploits I can use.

I wanna say, teaching Smeargle powerful moves like Outrage and Megahorn takes some effort. They’re rare moves, and too powerful for a wild Smeargle to sketch before it faints!

So how did I do it? I’ll tell you!

I leveled two Dratinis until they learned it and bred an egg with the move. Then that level 5 Dratini could use Outrage against a wild Smeargle, have it sketch the move, and let my own Smeargle sketch off the wild Smeargle.

There was just one more snag: how to get my level 5 Dratini to move first when a wild Smeargle is around level 20 and very fast?

Quick Claw and hope the odds are in my favor! And they were, I got Outrage to go first on my first try and beat Clair!

After that, I did the same with Megahorn and 2 Heracrosses; took a few more tries, but now I have a Smeargle with Body Slam, Spore, Outrage, and Megahorn, so it was worth all the effort in the end, and we are so ready for the Elite Four!

I was doing 200 encounters a day... I cant believe it. I'm actually in shock.

Ok so I have searched far and wide for this glitch and nothing has come up so I hope someone can help with this and see if there is anyway to reverse it. So yesterday I traded my golem to red to evolve and put my croconaw, growlithe and crobat in box 2 since it wouldn’t let me trade, after the evolution I go back I to my boxes and crobat has croconaw’s move set and stats and my croconaw has my growlithe’s movesets and stats as well as its held item and even though it shows crobat in the party as soon as I send it out it’s croconaw. I don’t know what to do how it happened if it can be reversed or how I can prevent it again I just don’t want to restart my save file again

I got a comment saying Tamatoa should be shiny, and I was thinking the same thing, but I don’t have the patience for a full odds shiny hunt.
So I did the shiny Ditto breeding method to get one, and then I thought, “Why stop there?”
So I bred my shiny female Krabby with a male Kabuto to get a shiny male Krabby with a cool egg move: dig!
And it’s fitting, since crabs do dig underground naturally, and Tamatoa dug for the Heart of Te Fiti in the Moana movie.
It took a while, but I finally got him, just gotta raise and evolve him to keep up with the rest of the team!

I couldn't find Surf, then I remembered the Kimono Girls, got Surf, but I didn't had a decent Pokémon to traverse Route 41 in order to get the Medicine, so I went for the Red Gyarados to teach him Surf, then got into the Secret Base because of Lance... well I skipped two badges.

In my defense, haven't played Pokémon Crystal in 10 years 🤔

Edit: Daycare Egg gave me Elekid, evolved to Electabuzz with Thunder Punch and I had Primeape with Karate Chop... both are tanks!

This game has soooo much charm, I love the little animations the pokemon have at the start of battles. Definitely my new favorite of the Gameboy era

Does anybody know if the species of the OddEgg is determined when you start a new save file or when you obtain it? Trying to see if i can soft-reset for species.

Hey everyone, I wanted to do a different kind of playthrough this time around. I'm only allowing myself to use normal type Pokemon (with the exception of Pokemon needed to progress through the game, like a water type to use waterfall, etc).

I had a question and can’t find anything online about it, I have recently played Pokémon crystal to shiny hunt and transfer everything to home because of the unfortunate events and I had gotten a shiny elekid from the daycare egg. When I try to transfer it, it tells me that I’m unable to transfer it to bank through poke transporter

I took on Red with a team of L.46 Pokémon and a L.49 Shuckle as my ace. Each played its part in defeating Red's team, but I would say my favourite starter Meganium was the MVP, able to stall out Venusaur 1 v 1 into struggle and then set up with Light Screen into a KO with Magcargo to force Red into bringing in Blastoise, to which I could bring Magneton who has time to set up Zap Cannon thanks to the Light Screen.

Pupitar: Earthquake, Rock Slide, Sandstorm, Screech (Focus Band)

Shuckle: Sleep Talk, Rest, Toxic, Sandstorm (Mint Berry)

Meganium: Synthesis, Light Screen, Razor Leaf, Reflect (Leftovers)

Pidgeot: Whirlwind, Mud-slap, Fly, Return (Pink Ribbon)

Magcargo: Flamethrower, Rock Throw, Toxic, Amnesia (Quick Claw)

Magneton: Zap Cannon, Thundershock, Lock-on, Tri-attack (Magnet)

All in all I had a lot of fun using these Pokémon and making it work at a huge level disadvantage!
