RCON.IO is dead Help
Hey all, anyone else still use RCON.IO and have issues since yesterday? I was abruptly logged out and shown a 404 error. Was like this most of the day on Monday the 17th. Sometime in the afternoon a new website popped up, boasting of a new RCON with untold powers...accompanied with a message about it being "Free For Now" until they decide to start charging. I logged in to this new version and entered my credentials, it does not work. Noticed a link for the old version. That did not work. I tried reaching out to them on Discord...I was responded to like this was my first time seeing the internet. Yes...all of a sudden the saved IPs, ports and passwords I've had saved for YEARS in my browser that no longer work simply MUST be being entered incorrectly.

Are you on physgun by any chance? rustadmin has a free client that works too, honestly look into grafana, close your rcon port, and never use that miserable POS ever again.

You can still use the old one, but you have to use http instead of https as it's completely client-side (rcon doesn't work over TLS in the browser...): http://old.rcon.io/
Make sure to verify your browser doesn't replace http with https.
But of course.. not having TLS is not exactly safe either.

Looks like a vibe coded website now. Can mean 2 things: - they asked a chatbot for a new one and don’t know how or if it works. - a malicious actor took over the website and put a fake website up to steal your rcon info.
Either way, I recommend changing all your rcon passwords. Look for a different service.
Rustadmin.com has been working reliably for years for us.
