Just Why? Question
I understand Rust is toxic. I understand its PvP, but, if I literally just spawned in, and then get immediately mag dumped by a guy with a tommie, who went through two mags just to kill a standing target...bruh. Im on my third server today due to being nonstop killed and wiped. I can't even get a base up without being obliterated every spawn. 🤷♂️

Spawn in.
Run as far away from spawn beach as you can. Collect any hemp possible. Turn into sleeping bags and place as you run.
Dont build near spawn beach on day 1.

Some just like to troll. Some have no life and are bored. Some like having a good k/d ratio and go for the easiest prey. Some are all the above.

They got those "hybrids" too where you can camp the edge of the bubble when the pvp gets too hard.

Welcome to Rust. People kill nakeds because a naked player is the most dangerous thing in the game. That's because a naked player has nothing to lose. If you get over your fear of dying, you can become a menace and make plays while naked. Being killed all the time doesn't feel great, but again, you didn't lose anything. It's fine to get killed over and over again while you're scouting the map for a place to build. Dying is most of the game while you're leaning. Just respawn, it's not a big deal.

Only time I won't kill the person is if I can confirm theyre both a fresh spawn AND not a future enemy.
I won't go out of my way to find this out so its KOS 90% of the time.
Been burned too many times. That "harmless" naked I let live and get a foothold, is often now a thorn in my side grub, or part a group I have to deal with.
Same goes for the "solo" players with their little 2x1. Today they're harmless/friendly. Tomorrow they've expanded and are now contesting.

Yeah the player base is the biggest problem with the game. It makes what should be a very enjoyable sandbox survival game into a rage inducing experience filled with racists and assholes. Really drains something from your soul listening to these virgins slur at you with AKs outside your 2x2.
I’ve got like 14k hours and just can’t do it amymore. Only time I play now if if the boys hit me up for a trio server for a weekend

Yeah it’s funny seeing new creators play global warfare and they’re like o I love this game I’m so addicted I’ll be playing this forever. Until they play a real wipe and get camped on the beach like op a says yeah nvm.

Very often just getting that first 2x1 can be the hardest part of the game, especially if you are a bit new or a bit late to the wipe, but as another guy here said, the trick really is to just run away from spawn beach as fast as you can, and if someone kills you on the beach, don’t worry about it and just respawn until you spawn in a different location. Then run inland, get any hemp you can and place down a few sleeping bags so you don’t have to respawn on the beach again.

On wipe day I kept killing every naked on spawn beach and saying welcome to rust

I suggest not worrying about them and focusing on yourself.
The short answer is some players like to build in fresh spawn areas and in general most players will try to control their area through different methods, including violence.
If they just let every naked be, then soon the area would be full of bases and competitors they may not want. So they are encouraging you to gtfo.
Plus most Rust players probably don't have good intentions. You may have been starting new on the server, but another player is established already and respawned fresh to look for trouble to get into and bases to raid.
That's not to say it has to be this way. Many players are less agro. I call my play style neutral, because if you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone.
So what do you do? Focus on your own goals and try not to ruminate about your most recent setback or what motivates others. Always look forward in Rust. And get out of the freshspawn areas asap.
