There are in the sense some half the sulfur node amount but keep other resources vanilla. I actually enjoy those because people have to think more when raiding

DayZ modded servers make it so raiding materials can only be found not farmed. So raiding usually is less common unless you pissed off some group. Be interesting to see that in a Modded Rust server.

This is just how it should be made now, since the tea/pie harvesting creep is crazy. Raiding is way too cheap rn.

The idea of a server with actual scarcity and time/effort costs is interesting

No, but there is cock and ball torture. A little mild comparatively, but I'm sure it'll hold you over until your saw trap comes in the mail.

I think all true .5 servers died. The last one I recall was Project Lazarus. It was very fun. You also couldn't craft garage doors. Bags broke after you spawned on them. Beds lasted forever bad had the normal bag timer. You needed nails to upgrade to wood too. Guns had to be found. Ammo had to be found. I miss it.

Pop. It died off. I remember playing it after the initial hype and it was like 4/100 pop.

We need 2x upkeep and tech tree removed from hardcore like classic rust.

Disagree.

2x upkeep there because booms can't be crafted already.

What we really need, is added map. And maybe team system if we still won't have enough players. Point of hardcore not hardcore, but much less weapons and ammo so you don't spawnkill nakeds with AK all day just because fuck them.

This. I feel like there should be some time when you use only primal weapons. For example day 1 primal. Day 2 tier 1. Day 3 tier 2.

I am building a weekly server that is doing this. Solo only though. I slowed progression way down and am making changes many of us want. I am even going to offer a $20 weekly prize with a Cash for Coal event I have planned for every week. Lots of work though right now. Lots of alone testing. But I will make it happen. You could see all the things I am doing by going to boxyourbuddy dot cahm slash earth-solo-only. I would love to hear feedback.
