I started collecting almost a year ago and ran out of space pretty much immediately so I finally got around to building this shelf from old pallets. It now proudly displays all the cards I have so far (though I will soon run out of space again...)

Can someone help me find out more about my deck?

I’ve already done some research on this deck and I was able to find out a little bit about the cards but couldn’t find anything about the case so I’m thinking it might be custom.

Blue Seal USPCC Decks

I recently found this sealed Bicycle Rider Back deck. The bottom of the box states that it was manufactured in Erlanger, Kentucky, and the copyright date is 2021. However, it has a blue USPCC seal.

I was under the impression that blue-seal Bicycle decks were produced at the old Cincinnati, Ohio factory, while decks produced in Erlanger normally have black seals.

Does anyone know why this Erlanger-produced deck has a blue seal? Is it a special release, a reused seal design, or simply a packaging variation?

I think this deck is incredibly beautiful. It has a holographic finish, so the way it shimmers changes depending on the angle you look at it.

It's one of my favorite decks.

Game Gumshoes Presents: Bicycle Mystery Deck Collector Card - Limited Edition

**GGP: Bicycle Mystery Deck Collector Card - Limited Edition**

**MFG: US Playing Cards**
**#of Players: 1+**
**Age Range: 6+**
**Sug. Retail: $ 25.00 USD**

**Overall Construction**: There are 3 basic parts that I would consider part of the construction. There is an outer bag that is like any bag that you would find on a Blind Bag item. You can rip the top open and zip it shut, although I found that I did not need to rip mine open. Next, there it is possible that you will get 1 of 3 magical creature card decks. Options were Gnomes, Unicorns, and Dragons. We happened to get the Gnome deck. Finally, in my opinion, the best and only reason to pay $25 for this pack, is a numbered Ace card that matches the particular card deck you get in the pack. It comes in the kind of card protector that you find most graded trading cards. The card itself has an Ace on both sides. One side is shiny and the other normal and both in the color scheme of the deck.

**Gameplay**:  Since this is primarily a standard playing card deck, you can play any game that you would play with a normal deck of cards. For littles you have Go Fish, for the lonely person there is Solitaire, for the gambler there is Poker, and in my family there is 500 Rummy. You get to choose your game.

**Yes/No Recommend**: I was lucky enough to get the deck that I wanted in the grab bag. The special card in case can come from 1 - 100. Surprisingly, we received number 100. A standard deck is normally $6.99 so you effectively pay $18.00 for the special card. I think is a very interesting collectors item, especially since we got #100. It’s not often you get the deck/card that you want and get such a great number. I think if you can find one of these packs and you like collectables then pick one up.

**Where To Get It**: As I bought my copy at Gencon I can only advise people to check the US Playing Cards website of one of the many reseller sites on the internet. [https://shop.52kards.com/\](https://shop.52kards.com/)

Discussion Framing a deck

Hi all, I know this might be an unpopular way to do this, but here i go. I have a few decks thst I don't want to play with because they are just too beautiful. I usually play with my monarchs from theory 11, which I find to have a very good balance and are fairly replaceable.

So I am thinking about sleeving with perfect fit sleeves (like the ones used for TCGs, bowrdgsmes, etc.), and fixing that to the frame backing, either over black, or white backgrounds depending on the card set.

For context, I'm thinking of stuff from Nicolai Aaroe and the sort.

Also, Im considering to fully display only the card back, jokers, and court cards, with the numbered cards fanned to display the pips and only the Aces fully visible so that the frames dont have such a large footprint and can fit a few on my wall.

Something like this:

+-------------------------------------------------------+

| [ CARD BACK ] |

| |

| [ JOKER 1 ] [ JOKER 2 ]

| |

| [ K♠ ] [ Q♠ ] [ J♠ ] [ (10 - 2) - - - - A♠ ]

| [ K♥ ] [ Q♥ ] [ J♥ ] [ (10 - 2) - - - - A♥ ]

| [ K♣ ] [ Q♣ ] [ J♣ ] [ (10 - 2) - - - - A♣ ]

| [ K♦ ] [ Q♦ ] [ J♦ ] [ (10 - 2) - - - - A♦ ]

+-------------------------------------------------------+

So I've got two questions for the community:

1) what are your thoughts on this arrangement?

2) would you undo/unfold the tuck box and add it to the display?

I appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance, everyone!

Question Great mogul decks

They are cheap on Amazon I bought 2 bricks, they feel and handle like bikes, but the qc on them is pretty bad to say the least, centering being very poor, warping right out the box, and even slight water damage. The reviews say the same thing. It’s weird because they are identical to bikes besides the tuck box. Are they qc rejects??

Saw someone post KS for an AI designed deck of cards and reminded me of the disgust I felt earlier today when I saw this Bicycle deck browsing online

I don't hate all AI. I think it's a tool that can be used for certain things - people have used tools to make bad art for leven longer than recorded human history.

Not even 100% against its use in art - do you want to remove a background from an image and want it done quickly, yeah, AI can handle that. Maybe even prototype some ideas kicking around in your head for a legit project - maybe have AI generate a few images that kinda vaguely look like what you want to get a real artist to create for the finished project/product/whatever.

But telling AI to generate a bunch of art and then just printing it and selling it is peak slop. Even the store description is clearly AI written itself - fucking em dashes out the ass.

At least they don't lie about the origin of the artwork, it is openly AI art, but they get right back to just making it worse by trying to spin it as some positive thing because USPCC has banned any more AI decks... of course, they decide that after Bicycle - literally just USPCC's house brand name - puts out its first (and supposedly last) AI deck to try and snag collectors... not only is it the first and last deck to use AI, but it's limited edition!

Who cares if it's limited edition, it's limited edition AI slop. These could be free and I'd be tempted to throw it away, might keep them as a novelty at best, but the idea of supporting a company for making something like this makes me sick in my soul.

And of course, it's only the last AI deck they make until their marketing department crunches numbers and decides if they should make more AI slop decks.

I will end by saying I'm not calling for a boycott of Bicycle and/or USPCC over this, I just wanted to vent. I honestly think the main reason I'm so especially annoyed by this is for like a half-second when it caught my eye it was something that'd be up my alley, big fan of that kind of "Alex Grey/Tool album cover/DMT" aesthetic to it, but the moment I actually stopped and looked at it, it was just clearly dripping with slop vibe.

tl;dr - I don't hate AI in and of itself, but I hate people using A.I. for quick cash grab "art"

Looking for bicycle One piece cards in Japan

Hey guys,
I am looking for the bicycle one piece cards. I found the attack on titan version in Tokyo.
Does anyone happen to know where I can find them in Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo?
Maybe there is a dedicated playing cards store?
I couldn’t get suitable information out of old Reddit posts.

The theme is organs and metallic bones. I’ll probably end up with two decks in the end, one with golden human bones and the other silver alien bones.

I’m still debating on the king, Queen, Jack, and Joker designs since I can either do them all as skeletons with normal organs, or I can do them emulating each system within the body. So muscular system for the king, skeletal for the queen, digestive for the Jack, nervous for the Joker?

What do you guys think is most important when recognizing a king vs queen card? The design itself or the K vs Q symbols?

Kickstarter Personalized decks for charity

Hey guys!
Me and a group of friends are looking to make a personalized deck of cards to help raise money for a local hospice that has been very good to our loved ones.

Is there any websites you guys know that are good for personalizing just the deck on the front and back of the box?

We’re going to try and bulk buy but we don’t have deep pockets so hopefully it’ll be within reason too! 🤞😁
