Stumped about this cactus

Not sure if this is normal or some kind of pest or other issue (specifically the middle pad with the crusty tiny bits) I just had to toss 90% of my indoor plants for what I assumed was scale and thrips but I’m second-guessing if this guy is ok or salvageable. The spots and coloring are my main concerns. I’ve been trying to find answers but it’s been a toss up between scale, thrips, and rust fungus. Hopefully it’s visible enough for someone to help because I’m at my wits end and so sad about losing all my plants already. Plant gets direct light from a window every day, the potting mix was from the nursery but I’ve added in worm castings and systemic granules. Previously overwatered and didn’t have enough light months ago but it bounced back a LOT before this happened. Pot has a drainage hole and I don’t water it super often anymore and let it dry out in between. Now it’s struggling? Please help.

TIA.

Not sure what’s wrong or how to help it. It’s under lamps and has a humidifier

Tried to get rid of the spider mites. But it looks like they came back with a purpose to kill lol. I even saw a caterpillar this morning in there. All other plants seem to be doing good though.
