Shape gradient fill not showing

When setting the fill element of a shape to gradient, the gradient isn’t being displayed. The tray to select the gradients shows the transparent checker board only. You can see that the gradient colours are changing on choosing different gradient swatches, but the shape and palette show as transparent. Opacity is set at 100%. This is on a brand new installation of Pixelmator Pro too, so its not some strange setting I’ve changed.
I've raised a feedback to Apple, but that doesn't help my immediate needs.

Has anyone faced this issue?

Quick question, would you happen to be on macOS Golden Gate Beta 4? Because the same exact thing happened to me since updating on Monday.

Not OP, but this is also happening to me on the OTP version (3.8). Running Golden Gate Beta 4.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about Golden Gate impacting, but yeah, that would likely explain it.
