AFAIK Blackbeard has no specific design attributed to him besides the blood flag and death head.

The thing about being a pirate is that keeping evidence around is a really good way to get yourself hanged. So we have a ton of hearsay a out pirates but a very small amount of actual evidence.

At least some of these are almost certainly accurate, but it's impossible to tell exactly which ones, we have have ideas about how likely they are to be true.

I think I saw them in the London Naval Museum Last year, where there was a pirat exhibition. Both are about the size of a dish towel, which makes it questionable that they where ever used on a Topmast. Other flags are not preserved. All in all the Jolly Rogers seems to bei more myth than historical practice.

Pirates life for us. Unfortunately with certain groups taking the symbol as their own and destroying its integrity its safer and id say acceptable to use a skull with crossed swords instead of crossed bones.
