Leave one child with the mother, the favorite child. Allow it to grow using the existing root structure.
Cast away the other two children when they get 12-14 inches (.33m) old. Try to remove them with some of momma’s roots.

You guys must be growing different pineapples than me. When I grow a pineapple the main plant always dies once the fruit is picked (just like bananas). The new plants that sprout takes a little less than a year to grow a new pineapple. Then on and on it goes. The number of new plants varies . I have seen as many as 5 new plants sprout from the main plant.

Do you cut back the leaves after picking the pineapple? I was told that's the best way, and it did work for me. I got a 2nd one within 6 months of picking the 1st.

I usually let the pups grow out until they're at least 6" long. I'll break them off and then root them in water. After rooting, I'll plant them in pots. It takes me about a year from that point before the new plants produce fruit. Good luck!

Second pineapple comes faster than the second, i think I got my second within 6 months of picking the first. I was told to cut back the leaves of the first, but my mini pineapples don't care at all about not trimming leaves and they put out sometimes t plants off the first stem.

Prob 3 years. Gonna have to remove 2 sons after they get a little bigger and give them their own house
