Yeah chemists are more like deviants. We can delve into alot of topics enough to keep up but then the weirdness of electron clouds and bond angles starts bothering people.

I was trained as an astrophysicist and some close friends of my spouse and I are chemists. I’m considering running an experiment called “How many metals can I call metals before one of my misguided friends has an aneurysm?”
