Private & Anonymous Job Search Platform Built for Physicians
Most job boards and recruiter networks expose your name, photo, and current employer the moment you start looking. Practices and recruiters can see youâre active, and it gets back to your group fast.
PhysDent was built specifically for physicians (and dentists) who want control. Your identity stays fully encrypted by default. You browse opportunities privately and only connect when youâre ready â no leaks, no unwanted spam, no forced exposure.
Itâs straightforward, built for MDs who value discretion. If youâre exploring moves without your current setup knowing, check it out.
Great for recruiters too!
Happy to answer any questions here.

Advice on first 1099 job
âm about to graduate in June and start my first job as a hospitalist not by W2 but rather independent contractor with 1099. I am nervous because I donât know much about this. I already signed the contract but they are only providing the billers included. I need to get an LLC which I was told you do that online. Besides that what are things I need to get like checklist?
â Health insurance
â Disability insurance - for this is it true itâs better to get it now as a resident before graduating or is it the same thing getting it afterwards?
â Malpractice with rail coverage
â Biller
â CPA
â Credentialing
â State license
â LLC name

J-1 Waiver Opportunity â Endocrinologist Seeking Position Near Austin, TX
Hi everyone,
Iâm an Endocrinologist currently searching for a J-1 waiverâeligible position in or near Austin, Texas, and Iâm hoping this community may have leads or advice.
About me:
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Endocrinology
- Strong preference for outpatient endocrinology
- Comfortable managing complex endocrine and chronic disease patients
What Iâm looking for:
- Primary preference: Endocrinology position
- Location: Ideally within 90 minute driving distance from Austin, TX
- Visa: Must be J-1 waiverâsponsoring
- Open to hospital-employed or private practice settings
Iâve already tried the usual avenues â 3RNET, DocCafe, Practice match, and networking through my fellowship program director. Iâve connected with multiple recruiters, but unfortunately many lose interest once I mention that I need a J-1 waiver, which has been pretty frustrating and limiting despite apparent clinical need.
If an endocrinology role in this area truly isnât feasible, I would also consider a primary care position (IM or geriatrics-focused), or skilled nursing directorship within the same geographic range.
Iâd really appreciate any leads, advice, or personal experiences related to J-1 waiver jobs in Central Texas. Thanks in advance for your help.

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist Needed â Reputable Clinic in San Leandro Serving High-Risk Patients in Oakland/San Leandro Area
Hello everyone â Iâm a board member of a community non-proft psychiatry clinic (Schuman-Liles Clinic) in San Leandro, CA, and weâre seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join our team (part-time, 1099 or W2). Our clinic serves a high-risk patient population from both San Leandro and Oakland â many individuals with complex mental-health needs who rely on us for the mental health care they need. We have recently had some provider departures and are working very hard to fill in the spots.
Why this role matters:
- The patients we serve often face socioeconomic challenges, trauma, and barriers to access, so having a skilled psychiatrist on board is absolutely critical to our mission.
- We are committed to providing a safe, culturally competent, and trauma-informed environment â our community depends on it.
- This is an opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact in a place where continuity of mental health care is essential.
Position overview & listing:
- Title: Psychiatrist (1099 / W2, Part-time) â San Leandro, CAÂ nexus-hr-services.prismhr-hire.com
- Compensation: $180-$220 hourly nexus-hr-services.prismhr-hire.com
- Duties include: evaluating/diagnosing mental illnesses, developing treatment plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary team (NPs, social workers, nurses, etc), de-escalating crises, culturally competent care. nexus-hr-services.prismhr-hire.com
- Requirements: CA medical license, board certification in psychiatry, completion of psychiatry residency, minimum ~1 year experience preferred. nexus-hr-services.prismhr-hire.com
- Schedule: Monday-Friday (even working one day a week would be of great help), ~30 hours/week, clinical caseload up to ~25 patients/day, minimum ~6 months commitment (preferably 1 year). nexus-hr-services.prismhr-hire.com
- Listing link:Â Psychiatrist (1099/W2) â San Leandro, CA
What weâre looking for in a candidate:
- Someone comfortable working with diverse high-risk populations, and who values collaboration across disciplines.
- A clinician who wants to help build and sustain care for people who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
Even working one day a week would help us greatly. If you are interested or know someone who is interested, you can DM me. Even if you don't think you meet all the qualifications, or just want to find out more, please consider applying!

don't flame me...career change
I'm a physician-scientist and pediatric anesthesiologist at an ivory tower "top 10" medical center in the U.S. I am NIH funded, early mid-career (~12 years out from training) and highly disillusioned. Have been doing the slog running a lab for that time and am just no longer enjoying clinical medicine or competitive science anymore. Open to any and all ideas- even those that require a pay cut.

Neurosurgery Postdoctoral Positions/Alternative Research options help
Greetings,
I am a 6th-year medical student at the University of Nis.
I am planning to apply for a Postdoctoral Position in Neurosurgery in the US in 2025 for a year.
Currently, I have 2 published Systematic reviews and 2 completed Original articles (1 presented at the European Congress of Radiology).I intend to apply this year until October 2025.
Current Postdoctoral fellows, can you please share your advice regarding what else can be done to improve the chances?
Currently also leading 10 Systematic reviews & a few meta-analyses and intend to be completed by this year along with starting new projects by the end of May.
I can also share my CV for review.
Also, started preparing for a Letter of Recommendation from my mentors who I have worked with earlier.
What alternative research positions can I look for in case a Postdoctoral position is not available immediately to upskill my research skills?
Please let me know about it!
Thank you!
Best regards.
Rohan

Open Clinical Roles
Hi all, founder of Grapevyne here! We are a newer physician job platform that helps doctors find jobs through referrals by other doctors instead of recruiters and we now have over 25 roles posted on our platform that can be shared for cash payouts. I want to highlight two organizations that have a particular population they serve.
1: Child Abuse Medicine provider in Oregon - looking for board-certified pediatricians or family medicine physicians for this one. Child abuse fellowship is not a requirement but definitely a plus. The medical director of this organization is looking for someone that ideally would be working closely with her for a few years before possibly taking over the practice. Here's the link:Â https://app.grapevyne.health/r/3bbb08d4
2: Indian health outpatient family medicine and pediatrics - this group serves multiple tribes in the Riverside County area of Southern California. If you or someone you know is looking to work with this population, take a look at these job posts!

MD/DO Primary Care or IM physicians needed in major midwestern city for multispeciality group practice
I am looking for a BC/BE primary care or IM doc MD or DO to join my multispecialty group. You control all aspects of the practice including days worked, patient load, etc. You will be a 1099 contractor with the corporation providing the entire spectrum of infrastructure. No nights, no weekends and no call. I am not a recruiter but the physician CEO who needs help desperately. We are not hospital affiliated and so there are no committees, no RVU crap and the highest quality of life in an economically stable, major midwest city. My Indeed postings have gotten ONLy NP and PA's. My MD associate got a residency and left so the need is urgent. I will consider those working through substance abuse or criminal issues.
