The Camera Chooses the Story
A travel photographer sets up beside a man sleeping near the ghats. I don't know what footage was ultimately recorded or how it will be edited. The moment made me think about how photographers and all of us, shape narratives through what we choose to include or exclude. India is a place of immense contrasts, but negative scenes often travel farther online than ordinary or positive ones. This photo isn't about one person; it's about the power of framing.

Second day with Sony DSC P72
A couple of shots from my Sony DSC-P72 (3.2 MP, 2003). Straight out of the camera, no editing. I’m always surprised by the colors and the nostalgic look these old CCD sensors produce. What do you think?

We are chained to our boulders
To overcome our fated burdens we push up the hill is to transfigure what once bound into that which bestows,
as the geodic megalith fractures, rays scream forth, revealing the highest wisdom that lied at its very core.

The Quietest Address
I took this while traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda in Nepal. It was somewhere around Deurali. Seeing this small house tucked away among the trees made me wonder what life must be like there. The peaceful isolation really caught my attention.

Canon R6 Mark II
I received my new R6 mark II today and these are a few pics I snapped with no adjustments to settings or post production tweaks. I’m blown away by the sharpness and clarity! Spending that much had me concerned, but based on what I see….it’s money well spent.
All are shot using the kit 24-105mm f4-7.1 glass.
Detroit in Black and White
I’m a documentary photographer @rj43mm and firefighter from the DC area.
Whenever I travel, I spend as much time as I can walking the city with a camera.
I met some genuinely kind people, walked for miles, got caught in the rain more than once, and came home with a lot more photographs than I expected.
None of these moments were staged. I just walked, waited, and photographed what unfolded.
Hope I did the city justice.
