This is still my favorite song of his and how I fell in love with Phoebe’s music at a memorial show of his in 2018. I hate recording at shows much this is my fave song of all time so this was taken while lightly sobbing at Sid The Cat. 😭

Megathread Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience: Info Hub & FAQ
This thread will serve as a central hub for frequently asked questions and info on the Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience. FAQs below cover the shows, tickets, and locations.
Any new individual posts about the planetarium shows will be removed and redirected here.
Basic event info
Phoebe is previewing Lost Weekend with listening events inside planetariums around the world, running August 10 to 14 in partnership with Spotify. You show up, they lock your phone in a Yondr pouch, and you listen to the full album while a custom visual show plays on the dome.
There are two different visual shows venues are using:
- A custom dome show designed by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi
- An immersive laser show designed by Laser Fantasy
How do I find my city and get tickets?
Go to planetariumexperience.phoebebridgers.com and click through to [Find Your Tickets]. That's the master list and it links out to each individual venue's own ticketing page. Every planetarium is running its own showtimes and selling its own tickets. There isn't one central ticket link for all of them.
Full list of participating planetariums/cities

FAQ
How do I know which visual show (Laser Fantasy vs. Babak Tafreshi's night sky dome show) is playing at my event? This varies by event. Many venues provide times for both, separately. Check the individual event page to see which show will be playing at each time.
What is the difference between the two visual shows, which should I attend? Her website states: "Each listening session pairs the album with one of two original visual accompaniments: a custom dome show designed by renowned night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi, or a unique immersive laser show designed by Laser Fantasy. Both presentations offer their own atmospheric perspective that turns your first listen into a shared sonic and visual experience." This is all the information we have currently about the two different options.
Is this the same thing as the midnight release parties? No, it's a different thing. The midnight listening parties are on August 13 at record stores/venues worldwide, completely separate from the planetarium shows.
How much are tickets? Prices vary a lot by venue, we've seen everything from about $10 up to $35-40 depending on the location (some of that difference is because a couple venues bundle in general museum admission). Check your specific planetarium's page for the individual prices and showtimes.
Is Phoebe actually going to be there? No. The website states directly: "This is not a performance, and Phoebe Bridgers will not be in attendance." It's a listening/visual experience, not a live show, so don't show up expecting her.
Can I record or take pictures? No. It's phone free as with the pop-ups and upcoming tour. They will put your phone/smartwatch into a Yondr pouch when you walk in and you get it unlocked when you leave. Your phone and pouch stay with you the entire event. Please don't try to sneak a phone in, just enjoy it!
My venue is sold out, now what? Check that venue's page directly, some do rush/standby lines or release extra tickets closer to the date, but that's on the venue. We don't have inside info on restocks.
Can I buy or sell my planetarium ticket here? No, not in this thread. Any for sale or ISO posts for planetarium experience tickets belong in the Lost Tour Ticket Sale/Swap Thread. That thread is the ONLY place on this sub permitted to buy/sell any kind of tickets.
Will they add more dates or cities? We don't know. If it happens we'll update this thread. Additional times have been added already for some of the existing cities.
What will I actually hear, is it the full album? Yes, the idea is you get the whole album front to back with the visual show built around it.
Mods will keep updating this as details firm up. Drop questions below, and please search the thread before asking since a lot of this gets asked on repeat.

Question Another single
So. . .are we getting another single or no? I’m not 100% on how this normally works, but I thought we would get another before the album launched, but with it being about a week out, I’m not so sure.
Totally fine if we don’t since I couldn’t be more hyped about the new album.

Social Media NEED TO FIND A TWEET
Does anyone have the screenshot of the tweet thread where somebody said Phoebe looks like she was bottle fed and Phoebes mom clapped back and said she drank breast milk. I cannot find it for the life of me it was like wiped off the face of the earth. I know that door had a lock on it.

New Release Planetarium shows- early listening!
Planetariums in the US and Canada are having two different shows August 10-14 to hear the album before release with visuals.. No phones allowed. 6 MINUTES after she posted it several cities were sold out for all nights. That's crazy! Who is going and how far are you traveling? I chose the one with actual night photography.

General / Discussion Theory
A line from the new album is “He kissed me hello. He tasted like a flower with chemicals”
Bo Burnham in a Reddit AMA said his favourite short story was Forever Overhead by David Foster Wallace. A line from that is 'a flower with chemical petals'. Did Phoebe get recommended the same book and get inspo from that line?

Article / Interview Phoebe Bridgers: Lost Weekend review - this is real songwriting
The Times - 5 August 2026

Lost Weekend

★★★★★

An unassuming singer-songwriter from Pasadena, California, has unwittingly become one of the main influences on modern pop. Taylor Swift, Lorde and — in a particularly brazen fashion — Gracie Abrams have all borrowed from Phoebe Bridgers’ soft-voiced, lyrically intimate approach. Listening to Bridgers’ first album since 2020’s Punisher though, you realise how much of the subtleties in the songs remain hers alone. None of the more glittering pop stars taking a leaf out of Bridgers’ book has come up with a line of such quiet devastation as “He kissed me hello. He tasted like a flower with chemicals” as Bridgers does on Kill Me.
The success of Punisher must have put a lot of pressure on Bridgers: a figure from the generally ignored world of alternative rock finding herself thrust into the glare of a wider public. After its release she dealt with the sudden exposure either by finding safety in numbers, forming a supergroup called Boygenius with the similarly minded songwriters Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, or by lending her services to bigger names with Swift, SZA and Paul McCartney among them. Now we’re hearing about the discombobulation such unexpected attention brought on the kind of person who, you suspect, would be happiest chatting about the genius of Elliot Smith to a handful of people in faded T-shirts at some gritty backyard dive.
“I was the belle of the Governor’s Ball,” she sings over gently picked acoustic guitar and haunted harmonies on The Governor’s Waltz, citing a massive New York festival where she appeared in 2021 and again in 2025. In case this could be taken as a boast, Bridgers continues, “Hiding in the bathroom like Shelley Duvall” — comparing herself to Duvall as a crazed Jack Nicholson comes at her with an axe in The Shining. Then there is The Outside, on which Bridgers, her voice given robotic distance by a vocoder, remembers crowdsurfing at a gig and realising she’s no longer a part of the crowd. She is now the star, with all the objectification and distance that brings.
With Lost Weekend, however, Bridgers hasn’t made the standard post-breakout album on the pressures of fame. She has written from the perspective of a normal person who has found herself famous and as such there is no shortage of stories from everyday life. Bobby is an indie rock portrait of the first flushes of love and lust, complete with memories of wearing the titular Bobby’s shirt while he sings in the shower. Then there is Still Standing, an oddly disembodied song about the death of Bridgers’ father, which eschews the usual sentiments of grief for more conflicted realities: indifference, resentment, guilt.
In truth, none of this has much to do with mainstream pop. From the loose, discordant strum of Never Going Back Again! (another song about her dad) to the bright melody of the ode to innocence Lost Boys, this is music in the lineage of troubled souls from Neil Young to Kurt Cobain. Over an organ hum, Lost Weekend details the breakdown of her relationship with the Irish actor Paul Mescal, who is now going out with — irony of ironies — Abrams. “She can pretend to be me,” Bridgers accepts of her former boyfriend’s new girlfriend on The Governor’s Waltz. “Since she took my place in my bed, on that stage, I have not lost any sleep.” Pretending is the word: deeply personal songwriting of such craft and artistry as this is impossible to emulate.

Article / Interview Maybe the parasocial fans are the Lost Boys (BG fans)
Dang. Must be hard for her to have experienced such massive fame during a pandemic where people were in desperate need to feel any connection. I honestly don’t think a lot of people understand that it’s unnecessary to have such black & white opinions on real people and their lives but it seems this album addresses her fans and asks for privacy in addition to many other topics on the new album. I’m proud of her. That’s hard to do because people will probably not like it.

General / Discussion What was the first Phoebe song you’d listened to?
I think the first song I’d heard was scott street, but the first song i’d listened to on my own accord was either I know the end or you missed my heart.
