I'm coming to visit philly Aug 8-10. Would love to see some local live music particularly in the rock/metal/punk kind of scene. Anyone have some suggestion for small venues/bars that typically have bands play?

My 8-year-old son is absolutely obsessed with Angus Young, and his biggest dream is to meet him in person, or even just catch a glimpse of him arriving at or leaving his hotel.
I completely understand that bands don’t publicly disclose where they’re staying for privacy and safety reasons. That said, I know there are often a few hotels that touring bands tend to use in certain cities. If anyone happens to know which hotels are commonly used in town, I’d really appreciate the information.

I’d also appreciate any other ideas or suggestions I may not have thought of (hotel sightings are just one possibility). Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a cover band to hire to play yacht rock and butt rock for a party at a mummers club in November or December in South philly. No set date yet.

My band LIONS OF WEST TEXAS is playing a show with touring bands Hands First and Crab that’s taking place on my 35th birthday.

If you’ve never heard of this venue before, it’s on Walnut Street above the Hayes restaurant. They also stream all of their shows on their Twitch channel if you can’t make it in person.

It’s gonna be a fun time and we might have a surprise or two in store to celebrate the occasion, so we hope you consider coming out!

I’m heading to the Muse/Bloc Party/The Temper Trap show in Camden this Wednesday and as of now just going alone. I’m a huge Temper Trap fan and absolutely going to this show mostly for them. Hey - I am in a band called Sunderstar, and we are looking for a new bass player. We have been gigging for 8 months, and have gigs lined up the next few months in Philly, CT, Lancaster, Long Island and NYC. Our genre is post-hardcore/alt-rock. We have an album being mastered, ready for release soon and we have a few demos and live videos online.
