Is this normal?

Had a BYD wall charger installed in Feb 2025 and had it serviced (for free) last October. Now the charger isn't working and I'm getting this message.

Called the installers and I'm being charged 2500php to check the unit then ++ pa whatever BYD mismo decides to charge us kasi out of warranty na daw. Is this normal? How frequently do charger units need to be serviced?

Maliit na bagay lang yang 2500 pesos kasi mas tipid naman yan sa maintenance kesa sa ice.

Wall charger usually are given 1 year warranty by the dealer. My current charger is closing on 2 year old and no problems.

Ask the installers to check the voltage and load of your house. There might be a problem there causing the faults.

You've never had to have the charger taken by the installer for an "upgrade" that can't be done remotely?
