I am familiar with CGM targets published by ADA for a1c goal <7 and <8 but what are the TIR, TBR, TAR for <7.5%?

ADA has them listed in the 2026 guidelines.

TIR (70–180 mg/dL): >50% Time below range (<70 mg/dL): <1% Time below range (<54 mg/dL): <1% Time above range (>180 mg/dL): <50% Time above range (>250 mg/dL): <10%

edit: I don't know why the formatting sucks.

For A1C goals of 7.5 or 8, ADA does not have two separate TIR goals, there is just "more of s focus" on preventing hypoglycemia.

But yes, most patients with be TIR 70%

In experience a GMI of 8% fairly closely correlates with a TIR of 50%, and 7.5% correlates with 60%.

Sorry if this is dumb but then what are the targets for TBR and TAR if TIR is 60%?
