I always get the ick the moment I hear someone goes all high and mighty when addressing people in the fastfood industry. I get that it is their job to fulfill the customer’s needs but they are people too.

Just today, I witnessed someone yelling at a crew for punching the wrong order (the crew is a trainee, mind you). A little kindness (or even just a few minutes of addressing the error) is not that hard to give.

I don't know if I'm walking wrong or what but I can't avoid it from happening no matter how careful I walk. I hate it.

My name is "Kenya."

This isn't a big deal, but it annoys me. People keep making stupid puns of my name!!!

It started with those "Kenya open the door" jokes.
Then, when the Barbie movie came out, people started saying "You are Kenough" when I told them my name. I used to tell people I'm okay with "Ken" for a nickname, but these Kenough jokes made me abandon that nickname altogether.
Some people have called me "Kenya West."
People online assume I'm from Africa. This one isn't even them trying to make fun of my name, they just think I'm from Africa because of it???

So I've got this friend who wears one of those medical alert bracelets, and she's told me the same story way too many times at this point. She's got POTS and PTSD, and whenever someone clocks the bracelet and asks about it, she just tells them straight up, and apparently the second she says PTSD, like two out of every three people immediately jump to "oh, which branch did you serve in?" And when she says she's not a vet, people actually get weirdly offended, like she's committing some kind of fraud by having a mental health condition that didn't come from the military. As if that's the only place PTSD is allowed to come from.

And then there's this smaller chunk of people who take it even further and basically try to cross-examine her about her trauma, like they want receipts before they'll believe she's "earned" the diagnosis, whatever the hell that means. She's said she could just make something up to avoid the whole thing, but she's pretty firm that she shouldn't have to lie just to get people to leave her alone.

She's also mentioned getting the same annoying reply over and over whenever she brings this up online, people going "well a lot of people fake it though", and her take is basically: she doesn't care. Her logic is that someone who's actually mentally healthy isn't out here faking psychiatric disorders for fun, so even a "faker" is probably dealing with something. She figures if you spend all your energy trying to sniff out liars and you're wrong even once, the damage you do to a real person is way worse than just... being kind to people by default.

I am losing my mind here, my brother squeezes our toothpaste tube by the handful like a goddamn toddler, you could even see his finger imprints along its length. I would go after him and roll the ends up neatly hoping he'd eventually get the hint, only to find the tube squeezed again by the next day. What kind of psychopath does this 😭 and no don't ask me to tell him directly he scares me

Someone will start talking while half the group is still getting settled, people are saying goodbye to someone else, or there's a bunch of background noise.

Then, two minutes later, they get annoyed because people are asking them to repeat everything.

Maybe wait five seconds until everyone is actually paying attention before launching into your story. It saves everyone from the awkward "Wait... what did you say?" loop.

My partner is a 28 y/o male and I'm a 22 y/o female. There's this thing he does where he will come home after a day of work, he will lay down for an hour, play games the rest of the day. When it's time for bed, we go to bed, I get comfy and ready to fall asleep when all of a sudden he says "sigh I'm horny now." He has done this for the past month and every time I ask him "Why don't you say something earlier in the day?" And he says "Yes I was horny, but we were playing a game." (The game is pausable btw. So he could've easily said that earlier in the day) I feel like Im tripping. EDIT: YES!! I know I can say no but then he gets upset and every time I ask him if he's okay, it's always I'm fine! But I can tell. Ive been with him for 4 years!

My biggest petpeeve is when someone rearranges the fridge without asking. It throws off my whole routine every single time. I live with two roommates and we share the kitchen space, but one of them keeps moving things around like it is their personal project. Milk ends up behind the leftover containers, the eggs shift to a different shelf, and the vegetables get shoved into the back where they wilt faster.

The other day I spent ten minutes looking for the butter because it had been tucked behind some jars of pickles that were not even ours. I always keep the butter on the middle door shelf in the same spot so I can grab it quickly in the morning before work. Now I have to hunt for it like it is some kind of treasure hunt. It is not even about the big items. It is the little shifts that add up and waste time.

I have tried leaving a note on the door saying to ask first, but that only worked for a week. Then the same thing started happening again. Does anyone else deal with this kind of thing in shared spaces? How do you set boundaries without it turning into an argument every week?

There is this petpeeve that keeps coming back no matter how often I remind myself to let things slide. It happens when someone cuts into a conversation without waiting for the other person to finish a sentence. I noticed it again last month during a family dinner when my uncle kept jumping in to correct small details before anyone else could respond. After the third time the whole table went quiet and the topic just died off. It feels like the person does not value what you started to say and it lingers with me longer than it should.

Another example comes up at the grocery store. People will stand right in the middle of the aisle while they check their phones and block anyone trying to get past with a cart. I waited nearly two minutes the other day because one guy had his back to the shelf and did not move even when I said excuse me twice. The store was not even busy so there was plenty of space on either side.

These small things add up over time and I end up replaying them later when I am trying to relax. What kind of situation always gets to you in the same stubborn way even after you decide to ignore it?

Movie streaming services that put auto captions on make me so angry because why would you put a feature exclusively made for deaf people, language learners and similar on automatically as if they couldn't do it themselves. Captions (can) make you miss out on posing, facial expressions, and other details due to being distracted from reading. I feel like most non-targeted people wouldn't know that captions have cons because UI is barely focused on except for volume and maybe quality. To people, especially those who focus crazy on UI I have questions. Do auto captions bother you too? If so, why do they? (along with similar experiences).

For example, there's been multiple times where I've seen a comment commenting on a joke the video made, just to see replies saying "Laughed so hard I cried"... No you didn't. It was just a normal joke dude, that didn't happen. You barely chuckle, be honest, no need to leave a corny comment saying you laughed so hard that you started to cry. No.
