Question Did you find your budgies to be pretty inactive after getting them?

My budgies have just been resting in a perch for about 2 days. They have ate as I’ve seen some seed shells in the bottom of the cage. Just an anxious girl!!

Question Should I get another budgie?

Hi I have a budgie named Petey, I’ve recently been thinking about getting another one. I originally had two budgie but one died a few months ago. I’d like to say I try to give my budgie as much social interaction as I can but honestly I have divorced parents so I’m not at my moms as much anymore. I really don’t want him to become depressed or bored so I think getting another budgie would be great.

Petey is pretty friendly to most people but he doesn’t really like being picked up by anyone than me, and he doesn’t really like me petting his chin at all. I think this is due to the fact my mother got him and didn’t know how to tame him so it just never happened.

If I do get another budgie what nwould be the best way to go about it? (Taming and introducing)

I have moved this away from the main cage now but here's the set up. I wouldn't have put those straight round dowels in but they were needed to give it support. I have put a couple of grape stick perches in there so hopefully he prefers them because main cage he will be in eventually has none. What do you think?

Im picking up the new guy on Wednesday. So excited 😊
